Range: bullet accuracy if you didn't know.
-
4 RepliesSo when I'm farming Nightfall this week I shouldn't worry about range, just stability?
-
FYI, rangefinder does not increase a guns range just optical zoom.
-
5 RepliesRange on fusions in general is not needed compared to stability

2 RepliesEdited by Majora: 7/12/2016 9:48:03 PMWish i could find the video i watched. It was a yr1 video though so i dont know how much has changed about the way fusions behave. Anyway, the guy basically took a few fusions and tested them with and without. According to him rangefinder does nothing. And the only differnce he could see from range increasing perks like reinforced barrel were that the projectile travelled a small amount faster. If youre good at holding the fusion steady then you dont need to care about stability. And as for range it apparently dictates how fast the projectiles go. Please correct me if im wrong, again the video i watch was dated a while ago and its been a few months since i watched it. Also fusions do not have damage falloff so increasing range doesnt increase the damage of the projectiles. Ive tested this on alak hul with a vacancy that has both a range increasing perk and range decreasing perk (as a drawback to i think a speed reload perk) and the projectiles did the same damage with either perk.

Not sure. Never really bothered with rangefinder on a fusion. If I get it that is nice. Makes more sense than a shotgun having it.
-
2 RepliesHonestly I don't know what's up with them anymore. I played some pvp last night with plan c. The first few games it seemed to do its job. Then the last few games it seemed to perform half ass. From the same distances and what not. I'm going to play with it for a few heroric strikes and see what's up
-
It's ok, but I would rather go with stability and accuracy
-
1 ReplyNeed 3rd option for meh ;) best fusion I ever shot was hitchhiker fr4 with rangefinder, hidden hand, braced frame. Accidentally infused it :( R.I.P.
-
more optical zoom is 100% the best possible thing on a fusion
-
2 RepliesRangefinder does increase Accuracy when ADS. Accuracy is critical on Fusions, but you also need good Stability. Case in point: Midha's Reckoning is terrible because it's Stability is terrible.
-
Accuracy and range is all you need on fusion rifles. Stability isn't important at all since you have plenty of time to re aim at your target while the weapon is charging.

1 ReplyEdited by C-Sentinel: 7/12/2016 6:21:10 PMFaith in Community lost. There are so many better perks out there. I'd prefer Icarus over Rangefinder
-
For me Icarus is the most important fusion perk. The ability to land your shots while in the air gives you so much more options.
-
Range finder and hoswap for ftw!
-
4 RepliesStability perks are ultimately the best on a fusion rifle. Then Rangefinder. If you can have both (FWC vendor Vacancy) then you're golden.
-
I prefer range perks on fusions versus stability.
-
What's your gt?
-
1 ReplyMore range is always good.. Check my hunter's fusion.
-
Edited by Haunter: 7/12/2016 8:05:35 PMStability then range on fusions Guns like the vacancy can do both Any solid fusion with more stability less mag can usually do well
-
It'd good on just about everything right now lol
-
2 RepliesRange finder is meh, what you need on a fusion is hot swap.
-
8 RepliesCheck out my snakebite on my titan. No fusion will top that for a long time.
-
7 RepliesRangefinder, Hot Swap, Braced Frame is the best roll you can put on a FR. Accelerated Coils was a favorite until I noticed how little it does. Then again, I have a Long Far Gone with Kneepads and Icarus that makes for what I hope are infuriating engagements with my Shoulder Charging Titan. Never would've thought those 2 perks together would make a fun weapon, but it works well - even in my gnarled up old hands.
-
24 RepliesYou need to try the Vacancy from FWC it's a god roll right now. After getting used to it you'll see the difference when you use another fusion rifle without its perks. Rangefinder with hidden hand and hot swap makes your fusion rifle a super high ranged shotgun. It's the. Best thing seeing people melt from a good distance.

1 ReplyI guess it doesn't hurt having it, but it's not like you are missing a must-have if you don't have it.
