Update 6/24/2016
Hello,
We have deployed a Hotfix on Bungie.net to resolve an issue where players could not generate Refer-a-Friend codes.
We are continuing to investigate players who cannot acquire the Refer-a-Friend Quest from the Speaker in the Tower after completing a Bond on Bungie.net. This issue does NOT impact newly created bonds.
If you are still impacted by this issue, please post a reply to this thread below.
Thank you for your patience.
Previous information.
Hello,
We are aware of player reports that Refer-a-Friend Referees are not receiving the "A Tale of Two Guardians" Questline from the Speaker in the Tower.
If you or your Referee are encountering this issue, please do not remove your Refer-a-Friend Link. Links that have been created and are Active are secure and require no further action at this time.
Thank you for your patience as we investigate these reports.

1 ReplyI am affected by this issue. My referee (xbox gamertag: CrazyTown) is unable to obtain the quest "A Tale of Two Guardians" from the speaker. I purchased an extra copy of The Taken King specifically so my son and I could work toward this quest as I introduce him to Destiny over the summer. However, after we successfully made the link via bungie.net he was unable to receive the quest from the speaker.
