Hidden hand should still help but it's effect lessened and there should be a blanket aim assist nerf of around 15.
My MAIN solution is that aim assists effect lessens at longer ranges and very close range, preventing people from camping and ensuring a sniper has very little chance of beating a fusion rifle at its range.
Also flinch should be slightly increased
Edit 1: You are all right, due to my slightly negative kd (0.98 on my hunter, warlock is higher) my opinion obviously is trash. What i was talking about was a suggestion, nothing more but please don't be a twat if you disagree with me.
-
All they need to do is increase the flinch when getting shot, sorry, I don't care how good of a sniper you are, you should not be able to land headshots when being shot in the head yourself. And make it so all snipers have the same aim assist across the board. That way one isn't that superior to the other. Sniper balancing done.
-
This game totally disrespects sniping as an art and play style.
-
it wouldn't help. Sniping in PvP has reached epidemic propertions reight now. Special weapons are being used as primary and OHK can only be countered by the likes of mida and grasp in ranged encounters. Camping snipers and camping primary users. all this slows the pace of the game making it less enjoyable. BUt there is SBMM and if there is a meta then players need to play to it if they don't want to get instantly butt screwed hard and from behind.
-
They could just take aim assist out of the game. It's not really necessary.
-
I would be happy if they removed AA altogether.. sometimes it feels more of a hinderence. But that's only my opinion and as a average player I believe it would help sort out the current meta and bring a bit of change to matches..
-
there is no problem with it...you could remove it and people would still tag you
-
Do you actually k ow what aim assist does?
-
Go step on a Lego.
-
Aim Assist doesn't make much of a difference, someone who's good with a sniper deserves to be good bro. You're probably a shotgun noob lmao.
-
It's a sniper.
-
Make then the heavy weapon they are supposed to be
-
aim assist doesn't matter. I snipe the same on Calcutta as I do on my 1kys with Longview (+25 aa) max range, and hidden hand
-
Don't decrease aim assist at range... let snipers do what snipers should. Decreasing aim assist under fire from a certain distance...say, 70m or so (just an example). It would be more efficient in solidifying their role as something not to be used at the range of primaries, and instead at a range where shots at them are generally missed by most other types of weapons.
-
Idiot this idea is shit
-
In a real life battle, would you run around with a sniper rifle and try to kill someone close range?? No... Sniper rifles are meant to be long ranged weapons.. Nothing more. Nothing less. Jesus.. Not everyone wants to be a damn video game rambo
-
Don't nerf aim assist and just give snipers a massive increase to flinch.
-
I don't think people understand what aim assist does.
-
I like the idea of having lower aim assist at close range....but other than that snipers aren't that annoying anymore....they were just overused in the past
-
With the negative k/d's every.damn.time. Lol
-
I think that if the sniper has more range the aim assist should be greater. Therefore, people try to get snipers that are actually used for rangey situations than that of a shotgun (body tag then last word). But that'd also mean that the 1000 yard that everybody got from the quest would be great due to the range.
-
Nerf aim assist and bodyshot damage. About time the real snipers get separated from the bandwagoners.
-
I'm thinking of going with black leather with a white trim.
-
Every single weapon in the game has aim assist. Quit crying about it, it doesn't -blam!-in auto aim for you like all you cry babies believe it does.
-
Easy : L1 steadys the weapon, just like holding your breath. The longer the hold the steadier it gets Fixed
-
I'm not aware that there is a problem.

Edited by Ahsoka Tano: 7/3/2016 3:52:43 AMHang on, 1 question..... Since when do people camp in destiny? I'm sorry but yeah people sit in corridors and snipe but with a motion radar, it should not be hard to flank and kill the guy (avoiding corridors).... I never see people sitting at the back of maps camping, and if you have and can't kill the guy it's your own fault? In short - Aim assist should not lessen at longer ranges - why you ask? - its a fcking sniper rifle Edit : don't worry I didn't realise you had a negative kd..... You wouldn't understand
