Halo CE^
Probaby the most memorable Halo OST.
http://youtu.be/m_cwHnQ7Xsg
Halo 2^
This, along with DOOM 4 made me appreciate rock, or metal, whatever, music.
The guitar is just 10/10

Halo 3^
A modern take in the CE theme.
Yet again i could listen to these every day.

Halo 4^
My least favorite, but still enjoyable.
I bought this game and the music felt really dark, and not epic halo like, but it was easy and relaxed and fit halo 4 pretty well. It was also one of my favorite halo games.

Halo 5^
Still get hyped over this, it builds up and then drops into one really loud and exciting track.

ODST^
Don't have much with it, but the jazzy theme is pretty relaxed and fits the athmosphere.

Halo reach^
People hated it or loved it.
I liked halo reach, and the music was yet again amazing.
This isn't as epic as CE's or 2's but still has that halo vibe you notice.

This felt like it was looking back at the story of Chief. During the theme, you can see all the characters like 343 and Rtas 'Vadum in the background which even more gives the feeling if looking back to an awesome saga.

1 ReplyYou're missing Halo Wars and ODST.

Almost all the halo soundtrack was amazing. You can't disappoint with their soundtrack. Destiny is the same deal. The game may suck, but the music makes it better.

Bump for nostalgia

2 RepliesEdited by mightytirador01: 7/2/2016 5:02:56 AMI'm pretty sure Bungie's music in general can't be terrible.

117 warthog run winter contingency and tip of the spear are some of the best soundtracks in gaming imo
-
1 ReplyWhere is the jazzy delight of ODST? Such a different OST, yet so atmospheric and fitting to the game. Plus I have a copy of it signed by Marty O'Donnell himself!
-
You forgot ODST, the best of them all.
-
Halo 2 Halo CE Halo 3 Halo 4 Halo Reach Halo 5 Overall, I personally like 117 from Halo 4.
-
4 RepliesSo are we not gonna mention Blow Me Away by Breaking Benjamin..

Best to worst Theme songs: 1) Halo 2 had that David Gilmore vibe, is definitely my favourite. 2) Halo CE a close second, that original enchanting tune. 3) Halo 3 was awesome. 4) Halo Reach was again great. 5) Halo 4 good, but not great. 6) Halo 5 sounds foreign, is the worst.

6 RepliesMusic, like most things, is very subjective. I personally didn't like most of the music in the Halo games.
-
Halo 2 guitars: you have Steve Vai to thank for that. I think he played with Frank Zappa and frequently tours with Joe Satriani for the G3. As for the H2 Anniversary, I'm pretty sure the wailing, shredding guitar is still him. He does a lot of weird stuff, the Mojhinlnr mix is mainstream for him.

1 ReplyODST also had a beautiful soundtrack.
-
2 RepliesHalo player since CE. The music has been amazing pretty much the whole series. Say what you want about Halo 4 but this track for the last mission made it feel epic as hell. https://youtu.be/Czc9SQeOjFk
-
1 ReplyHalo 4 has some of the best music bud craps on reach
-
You forgot about ODST's soundtrack.
-
Agreed. One of the few things destiny got right was its soundtrack. At least Bungie can still do that.

Edited by Psychic Donuts: 7/2/2016 5:43:47 PMI kind of like how the music changed when the game changed. We can all agree that Halo is not the same on the outside. Whether it is a good change is up to you personally but we all know it changed. The music was basically the same but kept building on itself for the first iteration of Halo. Once 343 took over and change the game, so did the music. All of it is good though.

I need to replay ODST.
-
Can't believe you missed out the best..
ODST
-
The main menu music for Halo 3 was golden.
-
Greatest Journey is, and always will be my favorite song of any Halo OSTs.
-
2 RepliesI hate to admit it but I think Destiny got its music right (even if it meant -blam!-ing over that guy who sued them sorry idk his name).
-
2 RepliesJeez, I really wish it was 2001 again and 2004 and 2007 /: those were the glory days! I love halo 5 but not enough people love it. Older people grew out of Halo (understandable it's been 15 years) and younger kids now adays don't appreciate what Halo is. Halo to me is inspiration. Oh well I'm glad 343 continues my favorite franchise

Halo 2's music... the guitar...
*seizure*
