What's the point of the Scorpio again? Better graphics? Seems pointless when the PS4 does essentially the same for cheaper. You're not going to be getting any bigger games on the Xbox because of it, as developers still have to develop on the xbone.
And if it costs more than $500 then it will most definitely flop. I see it failing no matter what, regardless of price, as I see the average consumer simply not wanting or needing to buy it.

Ps4 has a 6tf console for cheaper than an unknown price? Where are you getting this shit?

The leaked stats for the Neo said something about 4 teraflops or something along those lines, meaning it'll still be an upgrade to the PS4 while being affordable. Regardless I wasn't even talking about the Neo, I was talking about the base PS4 model, as it already runs 1080P 60FPS. There's simply no point in having that much power in a console when you have the massive handicap that is the xbone.

Edited by Psychic Donuts: 6/29/2016 7:55:01 AMThere is a point to having that much power. To run games better. Why do you think Nvidia made the GTX 1080? So people can run games better. Devs are pushing the design 'front' all the time but on the performance front, 4k and VR are currently the newest capabilities. Honestly, with anything less than 5 or 6tf I'm not sure how a computer can run VR. Optimization makes it so consoles can run things that a quality nobody thought was possible but VR on a slightly upgraded version of current gen(Neo)? I'm very skeptical.

Yeah this remains the big hurdle. Consumers aren't starving for new consoles like they were in 2013. If Sony and Microsoft were releasing new hardware in 2019 I think you'd get people saying they were open to possibly purchasing new consoles.
