Suggestions & Feedback

Hey guys this thread is purely based off my opinions and thoughts on how to improve/worsen the game more (depending on how you see this). Also they may not apply to the current state the game is in - due to the games content being too far into development that these changes may not be seen in the near future. Thanks for taking the time to read through and all other suggestions/feedback are welcome:) (Trols and salt will be ignored) :p Firstly I'd like to say a big welcome back to Destiny, being someone who only played since the beta phase up until late October/November (w/e Crota came out lol). On this note I realise not much has changed gameplay and community wise. The game is still a grind-fest and forums is full of salt and trols lol. Anyway. Back to the feedback. Just A Rant Firstly, since I mentioned the game not changing much since its alpha/beta phases and since I stopped playing - and to come back with only sooo much new content to catch up to and finish within a week, the game still doesn't seem to reach its 'zing'. I feel like Destiny now has too much content that it doesn't have enough content. Yknow?:) this is because the content bungie is feeding its community lacks satisfaction - especially through its rng system. The rng although nothing wrong with it and a great method to keep fish baiting people from playing; is not enough catch them all (it surely didn't keep me long but hey, I'm back now). With this being said, when I came back and was introduced to the few quests and missions that guaranteed me an exotic as a reward, definitely satisfied me. They kept me hooked and wanting to finish it more despite the grind-fest. This, I believe is the type of grinding that's needed to keep people excited about long hours of gameplay. Things like weekly or daily (I suggest daily only because it'll be more challenging to get through them in one day with the suggested below) challenges obtained by certain NPCs which expect players to go through difficult missions, then through patrol to collect materials and information, then through crucible and/or raids/strikes despite how difficult the given challenge is to prove you're worthy of the specific reward eg. A guaranteed random exotic gear, exclusive legendary gear or x amount of in game currency like legendary marks, strange coins, silver and the like - you could even add cosmetics? As seen with masks only permanent? (I'll get back to this further into this thread so stay tuned). This is similarly seen via the current 23 June 16 FWC challenge I have found in the inventory where the sigil from variks is or your current faction alliance is indicated. If the challenge is not completed by the end of the day it is then disqualified and rewards are missed - until the next day:p (Gather up a good fireteam or die trying xD). At least the rewards is better than nightfall hey hahaha By doing this players are consistently going through every area of the games content rather than when reaching endgame having to decide whether or not they want to play pvp or pve more over the other which eventually leaves the game with a community that's bored but still plays and are full of salt and trols:p Nonetheless this rant is too long and I have a bit more to share but...yeah...that's my general feel the state Destiny is currently in. Let's hope they either really step next dlc or hope the devs learn from some mistakes if Destiny 2 is a thing. Micro transactions So coming back also to find that they've added purchasable in game currency known as 'silver' it got me thinking...now bungie could go somewhere with this! Since the game has ever growing content why not have this! For me, personally, I love the idea of introducing micro transactions:) I've already purchased a fair amount of silver already myself hahaha gotta get them desolate>:) Now I have a few suggestions regarding the vast possibilities and opportunities this content can offer: 1. Character customisation - a non refundable consumable that allows you to change the appearance and gender of your chosen guardian with extra customisation content not found in creating a level 1 character. (does not allow one to change class). - alternatively this can be done through a new NPC via the social hub using silver or x amount of glimmer, legendary marks and other currency types. If it is to be a consumable it can only be activated in the social and automatically logs you out into character creation to avoid exploits, bugs, glitches and the like while people explore Destiny. 2. Permanent cosmetic overrides - 'hey if you can add new gear slots then surely you can add more!' The new gear, so called overrides are purely cosmetic and have no effect on your current equipped gear. This is also not class or race specific and can be worn across all characters. However gender may affect its use. The overrides do not work in PvP game modes but is fine elsewhere. Things we could expect to see like rubber chickens equipped over swords or other sword designs that devs made but didn't make it to release :D basically allowing creators to explore their creativity more freely and allowing us the users to have fun with. [PS]: nearly every Titan gear looks ugly please make us look as cool as Zavala, Lord Shaxx and Lord Saladin plssss :p [New] 3. Level up - consumable purchasable via NPC. Requires at least 1 character above the levels of 30 or more. ( any other suggestions using micro transactions guys?:D ) Player Killing Oooo now this is interesting! A mode accessible via your ghost allowing the player to turn rogue seeking to steal other guardians light>:) With this feature you could add even more content! More currency! More gear!! exclusive to a certain NPC or add a new one! (maybe Eris? Only cuz I assume she's about to betray the vanguard judging from the ending of The Taken King). Of course with this feature comes with great risk and high reward! When rogue any free roaming guardian can become a target and you to them. - Accessible at levels 25 above - Deactivated once level 20 is reached while rogue - Increase danger level the longer you are in rogue or accumulated kills - Your name appears red in the HUD and UI when seen or nearby - Does not allow you to save progress and leave early until X time has passed without being hit by any type of damage while rogue (penalty increased as per danger level or if one force shut down the game) - Kills when rogue give % experience and X amount of currency. Benefits increased according to danger level. - Upon executing a rogue you gain % experience and X amount of currency for exclusive gear and reputation gains. - Upon death when rogue you lose -% experience exponentially upon consecutive death and rogue duration up to levels 20-25 and lose -X > X amount of currency - Upon death by rogue you can lose -% experience up to no more than 3 levels less than your current level when killed by the same rogue (Executing your killer will give you double your exp back but no bonus currency is given) Well that was an essay lol! Again these are just my thoughts despite that it would be near impossible to implement most of these suggestions into the current state of the game. Hopefully in another game maybe or hopefully an improved Destiny 2 >.< I really think the character customisation is still achievable though :D
