Does this pass inspection? Since my Ball would be the focal point, the monocle and mustache were the defining traits of my avatar. Was wondering if that was okay. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/207317015/0/0

 • So long as the monocle is not a prop but part of the ball itself (such that the eye can move over it) it should be within the standards.

 •
(such that the eye can move over it)
Sorry, would that mean that it should be part of the Ball's "background" and if the eye moves to a different spot the monocle stays where it is? I was thinking that the monocle was almost part of the eye itself, that it would move where the eye moves.

 • It does have to be part of the background. If it moves with the eye it is a prop. That's a rule taken right from Polandball. A monocle starts off real simple, and then it's a hat, then it's a suit, next thing you know someone wants to be a dragon curled up in a ball. (Not even kidding about that last one. That happened.) Eventually what we end up with is nothing like the "ball" art-style. Someone once started a similar thing over on a 343 fan site after seeing it on here. It took people all of a few hours to go crazy.

 • Ok, thanks. I'll experiment on how to make the background cleaner to work with the rules as well. I originally didn't want to draw the intricacies of 343 Guilty Spark to top off with the monocle and mustache and made it a bit simpler, but I've got an idea now. Thanks for the help!

 • No problem at all. I know one way people have gotten around stuff is by drawing whatever character they want on the ball instead of pretending their ball is the character. Imagine a big picture of your mom tattooed on your face, and also yours eyes can move over it without disturbing the tattoo, and also you're a cartoon ball.

 • Very interesting way to put it, but it definitely helps my mind wrap around the concept. Awesome! Thanks for the help, as always.

 • Yep, both monocle and mustache are on my avatar anyway. (Monocle is a bit hard to see on 343) Thanks!
