I don't have a roommate but whenever I visit my grandmother for a week my cousin is usually there. He's odd and very excited about the smallest things.
*sees a hummingbird*

The roommate I mentioned was like that with all wildlife. He grew up in one of the major cities of our state, so it was a big day for him whenever hes saw any type of wildlife. He got especially excited around deer and rabbits. One time, a group of us were driving back to our campus at night. It was pretty quiet. Suddenly, my roommate shouts, "Deer!" Instantly, the driver slams on the brakes and we all brace ourselves. We come to a sudden stop and the driver asks where the deer is. My roommate replies, "Over there. Look." while sounding pleased at his discovery. He then points to a field where a deer is standing about fifty yards away. Apparently he didn't learn that shouting "deer" when driving meant that one was one the road, which everyone else in our state does.
