I got back from playing overwatch and I tried playing on my hunter character. Every aspect of hunters that was half decent was nerfed to the ground. All hunter grenades now have been nerfed, aside from the swarm nade. Hunter melees are very weak compared to titan and warlock melees.
Aside from that blade dancers were one of the weakest classes. So it was nerfed harder? Blade dance was only good for its mobility. even with swinging like crazy, it was still nearly impossible to keep up with a titan's skating.
Also, without mobility or melees, hunters are now weaker to titan skating shot-gunners than ever.
This might just be another salty thread, but whatever, I was just disappointing to come back to destiny to not be able to compete with my favorite character.
So back to my question, is there anything left for hunters to use? Is there any advantage what-so-ever?

The changed that were made did not ruin any subclass they just now require more skill. In a week or two when players get used to the new play style all will be right again. If you play the subclass the same way you did last week you will have issue. If you go into it with a open mind and re-learn the subclass you will notice they are still good

I guess the suppression from shadowshot... But then you're just using the one hunter class everyone gravitated toward anyway. I had all of my gear set up for tripmines and knives. Now tripmines will only take health down to a slither left on an opponent; even if you stick directly behind then.. And I'm not positive but knives feel like they lost more than just 10% damage. It's like accuracy went down. Maybe I just had a bad night but everything felt off. I hate to complain about it but I feel like I have to change classes or characters again because this relatively weak class just got much weaker. Goodbye Ahamkaras spine :(

Bungie is forcing people to play Titan. It sucks

Both GG and BD where buffed massively.BD got a 2 second increase in super time and if you use encore perk it's damage goes up 150% after the 1st kill, and the base damage got buffed also while the hit detection and lunge is much better.GG got a 50% base increase in damage and setup right in PvE has 110% increase in damage. So you don't have your crutch grenade anymore, deal with it.Learn how to actually sprint and activate BD later, not a mile away and expect to kill the other team.

Edited by SGTBrownT: 6/16/2016 11:45:52 PMSadly, I have just accepted that there isn't much left to the hunters.
Golden Gun: unless you are using nighthawk, it isn't feasible for pve

Blade dancer - except for invis, it is useless for pve

the above subclasses are only viable in pvp

Nightstalker - only viable pve subclass. Performs well in pvp
It will be a few weeks but they will dig into them again. For this reason or that, they will cut into them, all in the name of "balanced" pvp play, while ruining them for pve, leaving 70% of the game a miserable experience if using 2 out of the 3 subclasses.
gonna start using my titan. They really don't get touched much
6 RepliesI did a little patrol (op as -blam!-) last night with bones of aeo equipped and could leap around fairly fast. It may be worth trying out.

I still have no trouble getting around with my blade dancer, I've switched to better control vs blink that's about it. I run Flux nades, fast twitch, razors edge, quick draw and hungering blade. Boost it with ats/8 tarentella.

Use gold gun with nighthawk Insane damage

5 RepliesI've decided that I don't care. I will use bladedancer regardless of what they do to it.
