[BUNGIE] Investigating Referees not receiving Refer-a-Friend Quest in-game.

Hello,
We have deployed a Hotfix on Bungie.net to resolve an issue where players could not generate Refer-a-Friend codes.
We are continuing to investigate players who cannot acquire the Refer-a-Friend Quest from the Speaker in the Tower after completing a Bond on Bungie.net. This issue does NOT impact newly created bonds.

1 ReplyHello. Me and my friend successfully did a link on bungie.net. Unfortunately, he was able to claim the quest from the speaker, but I was not. The speaker will not give me the quest. Bought a second copy to do this with my son and there's no quest at the speaker. I sent one for my eldest son a while ago when he first started and never got the quest for him either. So now I own 2 discs but no rewards for getting them into the game.

We are now coming up on 3 months since this started happening. Can we get an update on this? Is it ever going to get fixed?

this crap a waste of money I bought TTK so I can help a friend get it and now it says I have to buy it even after buying it putting in the codes so now my friend wont even play this til its fix bungie why is this even a thing why not make it open he is a day 1player

Come on! This is bullshit! I went out and purchased a second taken king for my son so we could do this quest together. I could have just used xbox game sharing and we both could play TTK on my copy. No, instead I forked over 30 more dollars so we could do this quest together and it has been broken since the day we made our character link. I dont like wasting money. I work hard as a software dev. I dont leave my customers hanging like this. This has to be a data issue of some kind. For christ sake, write a script to fix our data so we can start this quest! Damn!

Still an issue for me. Is this still being working on by Bungie? Showing linked on the webpage but not in game. Newbie can't get quest still.

Still impacted by this. I'm the referee and still do not have the quest at the speaker in game. Please fix this as it's been over a month now.

Bungie, its been over a month since this problems existed and almost 20 says since we've last heard anything on this. Could we at least get an update on this. Im holding off finishing story quests because I want to do the quest, but it seems to me it'll never happen.

1 ReplyI am affected by this issue. My referee (xbox gamertag: CrazyTown) is unable to obtain the quest "A Tale of Two Guardians" from the speaker. I purchased an extra copy of The Taken King specifically so my son and I could work toward this quest as I introduce him to Destiny over the summer. However, after we successfully made the link via bungie.net he was unable to receive the quest from the speaker.

My brother just got a PS4 about a week ago, we tried the Refer-a-Friend thing and it says that he has to buy the taken king DLC. But he has the taken king dlc. I do not know what is going on! He used to play on XBOX1 we used the same email that he was using with his xbox1 log in! but I dont think that should be a problem! he has all the DLC. but still asking for him to buy the Taken King!
