Xbox One price drop

Now I have been stuck on 360 for quite some time due to economic constraints. I have been wanting an Xbox One for a while but it has been too expensive and not really top priority. Now, 360 is cancelled in production and games are almost exclusively coming out on One. Yesterday at E3 Microsoft announced the Xbox One Slim, which is 40% smaller, supports 4k, VR, and can have up to 2 Terabytes (holy shit). They also announced it would be coming out in August... at the same price as the normal Xbox One is currently. My question to you is: do you think Xbone's price will drop and, if so, how low do you think it will get? (I just hope as low as possible lol)
No Consul War bullshit. Sony fans can peep in on this too. It is mostly a guessing game.
• The original Xbox One price will keep dropping until its sold out. Wait until it hits $250 wth bundled games.

  • The original Xbox One (500GB HDD) is going to be 279.99, with the larger hard drive variants being upwards in price. The lowest memory capacity Xbox One S (which I assume is also 500GB?) will debut at 299.99 with the most expensive one (that 2TB monster) being 399.99. Hope I was helpful. ~Praise the Sun \(._.)/

    •
4000K
Ok, time to science. What you meant to say was 4K which means a 4096x2160 display on a given monitor. These numbers are of course talking about pixels, the individual sources of light, and 4K TVs have roughly 8 million. 4000K would mean that there would be 4,000,000 pixels horizontally and 2,109,482 pixels vertically. This means there would be roughly 8,437,928,000,000 pixels on a given screen. Now the average TV is 19.2 in by 25.6 in. This means there is roughly 491.52 square inches for every TV screen. Now lets see, this means there would be roughly 17,178,192,182 pixels for every square inch. Damn. Now here's the real kicker, every pixel would be a whooping
5.821^-11 square inches
That's smaller than a stable Hydrogen atom. And the Xbox One S supports this And it's not even $400 GG <3

      • both are going to be $299 last i heard (if not someone please correct me). It's up to you. the S seams to be worth it. I don't know if the S is linked with project scorpio but apparently scropio won't work if you don't have a 4k tv

      • It's already $299 even the S coming out in (i believe August) is $299. I'm sure you can save some money until then to get it.

      • Xb1 price drops every month so they can sell a console or 2. I'm sure it will be cheaper than the 360 soon

You can get a used Xone for 150-250€ easily. Shouldn't be much more there. Edit. There are also some deals for 200-300€ for a new xone. And I think they dropped the price in USA to $279. But I think the 1TB version of the slim should be $300 and it will be released in August.

      • Couple things: Xbox One S supports 4K video playback, not gaming, and won't support VR. That's the Scorpio you're thinking about. Xbox One S 2TB is $399 Xbox One S 500GB is $299 (currently on sale for $279) Current Xbox One bundles are on sale for $279. Some of the bundles come with pretty good games.

As for VR support, that also just on the scorpio. You can buy the xbox one s for 300.00 bucks. It might drop to 250.00 when the holidays come around. Best of luck.

          • Maybe $249, but used ones traded in for the slim, may be a better deal.

            • They might drop the price of the Xbox One. But the two TB Slim will cost $400 I believe. I want an Xbox one, haven't bought one yet. Debating whether to wait or buy a Xbone right now.
