You're wrong about the Hand Cannons and ammo. They buffed Hand Cannons. The ammo thing is a good thing too. Now when you get stuck in a corner with low ammo the game will gather the ammo up and give it to you.
The AR nerf on the other hand.... What the -blam!- were they thinking?! 99% of ARs were already useless in PvP and PvE and because one weapon (Doctrine) was actually usable they nerf the last pathetic remnants of ARs into the ground. Such garbage.

The nerf to the HRoF ARs is the only change I have a problem with. A 6% nerf is going emasculate those weapons. But I'm pretty pleased about the rest of the changes in the patch notes.

Same.

Somewhere in the secret sandbox lab at Bungie... "We need less special use in Crucible. Let's nerf weapon ammo across the board". (Has no effect) "Well we can't just roll back our change and reduce ammo on the Crucible maps instead, because we're Bungie and we don't make mistakes" (Proceeds to add magic ammo to PvE, which still won't help because it doesn't kick in unless you're completely out of all 3 kinds.) Summary: If bungie's intent was to limit special and heavy use in the crucible (it was) then they should have simply reduced the amount of ammo available on the map. Why didn't they do this? We'll never know.
