I don't have TTK, I however considered buying ROI, that is until I saw "requires TTK expansion".
The reason I chose not to buy it is not because of the money (TTK is only £20 so hardly going to break the bank), but the ethics behind the whole "requires TDB, HOW and TTK".
Bungie have essentially made the choice for you: "buy all dlc or be left out altogether".
If you look at TTK, it requires both TDB and HOW expansions, however none of that content is relevant and nobody plays the missions, even the old raids are completely pointless, some will choose to play solely for the nostalgia, other than that there is no reason.
Using this, we can conclude all/most of TTK content will become irrelevant, yet you'll need to fork out for it to play ROI.

Play something else then? This isn't really a game to play if you're that much against DLC. take it or leave it

You do realize that when you brought ttk you got how and tbd for free. At least I did do that's a moot point and your just being a dick to be a dick. Yes Tdb is irrelevant but I like running it because I never had it. HoW isn't irrelevant because you need it for CoE. I think some of yall just like to make up problems.

COE only requires HOW because Bungie says so, you can't play COE with standalone HOW, you have to own both TTK and HOW. You don't need to agree with my opinion, but it stands as a valid argument, since I'm against the principle of requiring all DLCs in order to progress.

And if you understand how the CoE, HiW correlation works then you should get why there can be a ttk correlation.

Or the fact that new content has a starting light level that is only achievable with the previous content, meaning you won't even be able to launch rise of iron content (probably starting mission will be around 290). Common sense beats irrational "they're out to get you" conspiracies every day.
-
But when new DLC drops, old light can be easily acquired from faction vendors.
-
You don't seem to understand the changes ttk brought to the game. You would have to download all of that for your current software to be compatible with rise of iron. Do the only choices to make you compatible would be you either buy ttk, or they give it to you for free. Which is the worst practice they could ever get involved with.

Edited by YahyaTV: 6/11/2016 8:12:23 PMYou understand I have all the changes that came around with TTK, those are updates, and everybody gets it.
-
No, you do not have all the changes. You have game world changes, and ui changes yes. But not all the ones that only affect endgame light and progression. Good try. You can keep fighting this uphill battle. But your arguments are all weak, flawed and not researched,

I think you put it in the best that word can offer
