Hello and welcome Guardians this is your friendly neighborhood AnonPig and I'm here to quickly show off the, well not leaks, hints of Rise of Iron and what it means!
First let's look at that gif i posted above. That's taken from the 14 second teaser that was released. During that scene is a very distinct Vex whir.
So i know what you're thinking right of the bat from that, Vex are attacking i see Minotaurs! And i agree in a sense. But here's an actual leak.
In this image we see
Fallen mutants now scavenge the tombs of the Golden Age, and the plague they have unearthed in the wastes is more dangerous than even they understand.
Remember that update a couple weeks back? "With a twist" I believe the twist is a corrupted Fallen enemy. The question is by what. And in my opinion the answer is...
The cellular Vex elements are infectious, hallucinogenic, entheogenic. The informational Vex elements are more dangerous yet— and there could be semiotic hazards beyond them, aggressive ideas, Vex who exist without a substrate.

"Capable gauntlets. Extremely effective. I have only one piece of advice: never touch a living Vex."

Forged from the cores of Hezen Vex. If you feel a sense of revelation, remove immediately and inject antientheogens

I have destroyed myself to do this. They have taken my Ghost. They are in my blood and brain. But now there is hope

if I speak again, I am not Kabr
The Vex.

Everyone's saying things that are false, that it was confirmed to be a Warmind. It wasn't.
No, a plague named SIVA was locked into a Warmind bunker. That's what we know.
What we know ABOUT the plague is that it was spliced into the DNA of the House of Devils making them more machine than they normally were, organic machine. The most likely conclusion is that Golden Age science was testing the Vex compounds, as seen in the Nexus strike, and it mutated into SIVA (super intelligent Vex assimilant?)
1 ReplyEdited by AlphaLupi: 7/4/2016 11:39:54 PMWhat I think happened was the Fallen House of Devils came across a Warmind bunker while attempting to find Golden Age technology to avenge their Kell, Draksis. They wanted to become "Machine Gods" so they adopted the technology they found inside the bunker. But they accidentally awoke the Warmind that was in the bunker and so the Warmind, called SIVA, Took over their minds in order to have vengeance against the ones who locked it up in the bunker for centuries. The Iron Lords locked up SIVA, because I'm guessing it had to do with it corrupting Golden Age technology. When SIVA took over that part of the House of Devils, it sended out a signal that alerted the Tower. Since the Iron Lords locked up SIVA, they must have been monitoring the bunker just in case of an awakening. Lord Saladin went out to inspect the Anomaly and found the Fallen, but he saw that they were transformed. He fleed to tell the Vanguard the news, and so he is now "asking" us Guardians to investigate further. Those Fallen are now nicknamed "Splicers" because they were Transformed, but not entirely, thus becoming Cyborgs. And the "Plague" is another name for the Warmind SIVA, because I'm guessing SIVA corrupted Golden Age technology, and in turn, was locked away so it wouldn't hack any more. This is entirely Theory, but I personally think this makes more sense than Fallen being part Vex. What do ya'll think about my idea?
-
1 ReplyI agree with most of your theories, but this one is full of shit.
-
3 RepliesAlthough I feel like it could be different, you may be right. Think about it, a fallen house could have already come into contact with Vex machines or (next is my preferred guess) an existing failing house (my idea was the house of Devils) could have chosen to find and use vex tech so that they may overtake us, but losing themselves and becoming something new in the process. The abilities look very similar too. Of course that red stuff is in an one of those warminds......that would suck if it was the vex
-
All I want is more peg leg dregs.
-
3 RepliesGuys....there's gonna be a robot Randal the Vandal....
-
3 RepliesSo here is the new plot. Randal the Vandal returns with an army of fallen. Must have full raid team with iron gjallarhorn to kill him
-
1 ReplyMithoclast returns
muah muah ha
-
1 ReplyMakes sense to me at least. Seems like a good explanation for the cyberfallen or whatever the new enemies are going to be called.
-
I agree it has to be vex related. Read ghost fragment vex 5. Mentions a drug that a warmind created in order to use the device but fail!

Edited by Cayde Seven: 6/10/2016 3:32:46 AMHonestly they never even confirmed it was a Warmind bunker... they generalized and said people may recognize the "diamond shapes" from early in the game... Pocket Infinity Grimoire Card:
Fireteam Tuyet died in the Ishtar Sink, hunting the secrets of the Vex. They must have come too close to something precious, for the Vex descended on them with their typical inscrutable, thorough violence. But their sacrifice was not in vain. The data they gathered helped forge thePocket Infinity. Properly modified, the weapon should be capable of devastating output on just a single charge cycle. The Infinity's mechanisms have proven difficult, if not impossible, to replicate en masse. It is conceivable that the weapon draws its energy from the Vex networks...an ominous possibility. So be wary with it.
Remember the Search for the Sleeper tinfoil hunts? People shooting everything they could find in Rasputin's Bunker because PI has the "Warmind" symbol on it? There's nothing in the PI Grimoire or bounty about Rasputin or Warminds, but it has the diamond shapes/symbol on it. It is not exclusively associated to Warminds. Could it be possible that the Warminds AI were built on / modeled after the Vex "minds" in an attempt to catch up with them once we discovered their vastly superior technology in this field?

1 ReplyDoes anyone think there will be a correlation between the House of Wolves and the Rise of Iron story? If you go back to the prologue video for the HoW, we see in the opening and closing scenes a group of Fallen making their way through a snow storm, but we never encountered or fought the Wolves in such an environment. Now with the release trailer of RoI - we see Lord Saladin making his way across a snow covered Earth.
-
So there are dregs with peg-legs. A clip of a boss with a weird robot jack-stand leg shown in a trailer. And a strange area that looks similar to the Queen's throne. I'm guessing this "SIVA" are the pink strands/tendrils that punctured that Warmind shown in the trailer, it also appears that they have a red teleportation animation compared to the Vex's blue one. But Dregs with peg legs, this go'n be great
-
I'm 99% sure that that's not it. Note the Warmind shaped armor on them. also note the fact that a warmind is shown in the same trailer. And what looks like a warmind core that has red wires coming out of it. AND, in the stream, it was referenced often as "Warmind/Rasputin looking" Here's what I think: The House of Devils (Mentioned in the stream) has regained access to this Warmind, who grants them technologies. We reclaim what was taken from us by them and take down their tactical advantages in the Story. For the raid, we have to defeat the Fallen in the Wall, and eventually have to find and destroy the Warmind. Either that, or we shut down the warmind in the story and kill the Kell in the Raid, or some combination of those
SIVA (super intelligent Vex assimilant?)
Alright, that's a bit of a stretch
-
3 RepliesGoddammit I bet it was some dreg that opened the 'keep out' door out of curiosity.
-
6 RepliesIt's already been mentioned, in bits and pieces, below... The "Plague" is another Warmind. One that has gone insane. One that had been at the forefront of melding technology and flesh to create a cyborg race during the end of the Golden Age. This Warmind, named Siva, nearly wiped out humanity once, but the Iron Lords managed to reseal it's complex at great cost. Now, the Fallen house of Devils has found it's way into Siva's complex and subdued or partnered with "her", to wipe out mankind and/or the Traveler.
-
Was it proven to be vex? Cause I didn't see anything about Siva being vex related

Wow, not every day you see someone so dedicated like you i agree with your therory its very plausible

2 Replies#AnonPigTheSmoggyPlutoOfTheLore
-
31 RepliesIf you read the leak, it says the fallen found something from our golden age and have let it free
-
4 RepliesOr all of the Lords didn't fall and its one of them we are going to battle in some crazy time travel adventure.
-
1 ReplyI don't think it's vex. The shots with red stuff covering rasputin I believe the fallen hacked/ corrupted him and now have golden age tech. And the thing the archon priest came out of, is that the earth servetor in the description for baron's ambition?
-
1 ReplyI want a day/night cycle and weather effects including blizzards for the plaguelands.
-
Nope, it the ancient threat we made exos to help us fight towards the end of the golden age.
-
Silly anon clearly it is the flood from the halo series
jk nice idea
