Eh, I'd say they were right to a degree. The revolution that took place in Russia was a shock to the rest of Europe and many other European countries feared communist uprisings. These men were just infantrymen. It's totally possible they might have legitimately felt Russia's social influence was a threat to their society as well as the rest of europe. You'd be surprised how many Germans did not agree with the whole superior race thing.
You'd be surprised how many Nazıs exist today. The United States even has an official Nazı Party. [spoiler]Of course it's incredibly small in comparison to most other minor parties, bit it still exists.[/spoiler]
