Armor Grimoire | Lore: Mk. 44 Stand Asides [Fictional]
It began on the beautiful day Cosmodrome went to hell. With my son by my side, we watched from afar as the panicked crowd devoured and pushed against the blast doors, the force of every man and woman's will to survive projected towards the Russian Space compound, but was ultimately in vain.
Will we get onto a ship today father?
Of course.
Are you sure?
No, I am not.
Ok.
We began to move closer to the crowd, and as we approached I began to scope out a possible entrance.
We may be able to enter from--
The once sunny sky with gentle clusters of clouds was now a darkness, and I looked upwards to see a silhouette of a colossal Ketch blocking out the light.
The once mad crowd was hushed in that moment, almost as if savoring the moments they had before the eye of the storm passed.
And then hell broke loose.
Fallen began to drop teams behind us, (and ironically at the only exit we had) and showed no mercy as they moved in to confront the crowd of humans, strapping on their arc rifles and loading them.
With my son in hand I began to run but he dragged behind, crying and muttering
We can't get away father. There is not enough time.
And then he tripped.
Once I lost the feeling of the grip of his hand I stopped in my tracks and looked back at him.
As he lay on the ground a Captain walked over towards my boy with a slight but arrogant sway in his step and snatched my son up, tossing him back to the vandals in his team.
I escaped that day, but cannot escape
the look of accomplishment,
of collecting another trophy that rested in that captains eyes.
And so to this day I reside in the city, forging ornate armor, but a particular kind that cannot be understood by all.
There are those who craft weapons for killing
Those who shape gauntlets for punching
But I
I create these so that you will not waver.
so the roots and rocks that will stand in your way will not matter.
So you shall not trip where many have before such as I,
but so you may stride with wolves and in the face of adversity not fall,
but make your own destiny.
Some Fictional lore, first go at something like this so please don't hate too much. I just am a little disappointed that many exotic armor pieces have no lore to it.
This was great! I, too, wish armor had grimoire.
In fact, I made a post in #Feedback about making exotic armor grimoire cards. Sadly, it is probably lost in the threads.
