I support SBMM.
I am not good at Destiny. Having played against extremely skilled players on rare occasions, I can say that it is not fun. Dying more times than I reload is a bad experience.
Why don't people like it? It makes the game feel too competitive all the time, being against players at your skill level? They should consider that if there were no SBMM, they could be put in situations where they could dominate everyone on the opposite team, and even over their teammates. Consider their perspectives: enemy team is constantly dying, and the teammates are never getting kills.

Edited by Racebum: 5/29/2016 9:19:40 AMThe game simply does not play balanced . Latency gets too high. People don't take damage. Sometimes you have the drop on everyone. Sometimes they have the drop on you and you can't kill anything. It's just not balanced or fun it's like RNG who will win. The debate is ridiculous really. You need to make sure matches stay under a stable 50 millisecond ping. In Destiny you probably can add another zero to that number

So it's not so much an argument against skill based matchmaking, but an argument against lag?

you can't have both. sbmm and low latency matches. too few people are playing the game in b03 you're matched in state and neighboring states. in destiny a good match has oregon and the midwest teamed up and often the east coast. crazy matches even go out of country making the game unplayable. ever skype someone in france>? you can see the packet loss and delay in the video. same thing happens with the game
