To read this and ignore it is to be a fool. Real wisdom comes from those with the experience, and those with experience don't want to see other people make the same mistakes. Learn from those who fail. Respect your elders wisdom, and cherish every memory, good or bad.
No, that's where you're wrong. Being experienced and being wise are two very different things. You may respect your elders, but you must go by your own wisdom. True wisdom is understanding and accepting the world for what it is, not just experiencing the world. You should acknowledge your memories, good and bad, but don't treat them as good or bad, just let them be a reminder of the past and that you're still moving forward. If you truly attribute Wisdom to experience, then you are the fool. You cannot gain wisdom from other's wisdom. It's up to you to open your eyes and see the world.

Your one of those types of people that has to argue just for the sake of arguments aren't you? Or maybe a 1upper? Anyways... I never said "find out what old people do and emulate it". I said listen. learn. adapt what you yourself have experienced and what others have told you into a sort of do's and dont's list. If my grandmother told me not to touch the stove because it'll burn, I'm gonna take her word on it. ya one day I'm sure I'll accidently burn myself. but today? today I'm just gonna take her word on it and NOT TOUCH THE HOT STOVE. Not because I blindly follow, but because her experiences being shared with me could possibly come up as a memory in the future that could help me make a better choice than the one I would've picked without her influence. also your missing the entire point. This isn't about expeinces. this is about regrets and why they are important and should be acknowledged.
