Simple solution; give players the option to choose between ranked and unranked playlists.

does not fix the issue, people will play meta in unranked.
-
The issue is how lobbies are formed, not how people play the game.

Edited by Thatmg7: 5/24/2016 8:22:39 PMAre you stupid. It is how people play. SBMM reduces connection strength if you are in the minority of players due to needing a wider search to fill or create a lobby. CBMM finds the nearest match that is ELO TEAM balanced And having 2 modes is not going to change the issue, actually it is WORSE because it is dividing the player base. What under SBMM means more bad connections. As the pool is lower = larger search radius. TLDR: I rather loose to a better skilled player/team, than a player who I can't hit and teleport kills me. I P sure 99% of people are in this mentality.

Does it even matter? The debate between SBMM and CBMM is about match latency (ping) and the consistency of good competition. Going off of your initial statement...
does not fix the issue, people will play meta in unranked.
... it is easy to interpret your opposition to separate playlists is because you don't want people to play along with the "meta". Then you go off on a standard tangent about CBMM versus SBMM. I suggest you 1) explain your position in a clear way and 2) calm down before you give yourself an aneurysm.
