I agree to an extend with you. I think the real problem here are the number of players in a match.
Because of the small number of players in a match (12) skilled players are more noticed by others. If you die 20 times in a match there is a very good chance you are killed far more by the top player than the bottom player on the opposing team. In a game like BF4 with maps up to 64 players you can still die 20 times without getting killed by the same guy over and over again.
I don't see destiny change this radical for D2 but I know my initial response in 2014 to the crucible was....."hmm only 12 players and no big maps with vehicles?...owwww I expected more"
I really like destiny don't get me wrong but for pvp I rather play BF4 (and still do).
The thing is, they need to implement SBMM in some way to prevent the same players getting dominated again again and again. The problem here are players with poor connection. I wish we could have minimum latency requirements, but Sony/Microsoft won't allow that gehehe.
On the bright side BF1 is only a few months away.

What was that awesome snowy map I remember in the beta that had vehicles and turrets? That was a cool map.

Edited by Seraphic_Thunder: 5/24/2016 3:10:13 PMSkyshock had snow but I don't think it was a Beta map (I could be wrong as I never saw it). The other 2 were either on the Moon or Mars.

Edited by Cour8ois: 5/24/2016 7:17:52 AMIndeed. How cool would it be if you had tanks and other things in a control point type of play with bigger maps and more players. How can EA still provide dedicated servers for a 3 year old game while Activision sticks to the peer to peer that is all their games.

Even some pvp based on the existing planets would be good. Start at either end and worm your way towards each other.

You mean in the patrol area? That would be a very good idea indeed. I have high hopes that in later destiny games the pvp maps will be accessible (during quests) in pve missions. How cool would it be if the patrol area would be a true open world and that you actually need your sparrow to traverse the open space between objectives. Imagine doing an earth patrol and getting a bounty to kill a fallen captain at twilight gap or skyshock or something like that. This would integrate the pvp and pve into a more cohesive world and it would allow the devs to use the maps twice without making it seem cheap. I say win win

Yes Patrol :) Its would be amazing. Bounty that includes pvp? - jump through a portal on patrol and an evolving randomised map to get X kills and X assists with one of the gunsmiths green weapons... I'd definitely do pvp on the exisiting pve maps. Bigger with sparrow etc. What fun :)

Edited by Cour8ois: 5/25/2016 6:44:31 AMSomething like that. What I mean is that you can see the skyshock (pvp map) on the top of the mountain while doing pve (patrol) and that you can sparrow to it in to real time to do a mission.

Yeah - that would be awesome.
