I haven't played this game ever since it came out, and I never beat it. I saw it the other day and logged on.
I noticed my Pokémon were severely underleveled, with most trainers already have been battled. I feel like starting over might help out, since this time around, I wouldn't rush through, but I could continue and grind out for a long time to get my Pokémon up to level, which would take a while.
I have all 8 badges, but at this point, most Pokémon are only at level 42. Wild Pokémon are higher in level.
So, should I start over? I'm letting you people decide...
Edit: Thanks for the feedback guys. I chose to restart. 4 Pokémon around level 12. Using different Pokémon this time. :D

I would star mine over, but there is a problem. I found a Shiny Goodra. Really I found a Shiny Sliggoo, but I evolved it into a Shiny Goodra.

Considering it's probably the easiest one, yes

You can grind out and get the pokemon you want now. It can go way more in depth with breeding for abilities and egg moves, EV/IV's, even possibly for shiny. Just depends how much you wanna put into it. I would never restart.
-
I would start over. Don't skip any of the battles and your pokes should be high enough for anything.

I love starting Pokémon over after I've beaten it. My first file, I collected every Pokémon available, and had about 53 shiny ones if I recall correctly. Going through the story and progressing and leveling Pokémon is the most fun part, though. So I restarted. Went online and started giving all of my legendary and shiny ones away to people who needed them instead of simply erasing my file. Felt good. If you haven't played in a long time and are in the middle of a play through, I would certainly recommend starting over to get the whole experience again.

I have twice and doing 3rd time, trying all the starters, trying chespin now
-
I'd start over. Keep the Pokémon you have now though if you like them (if you have Pokémon Bank of course). That's what I do. I get a full team and finish the game, then put those 'mons in the Bank and start over, going through with a completely different team the second time.

Edited by wojo55: 5/23/2016 11:05:15 PMHow? This is by far the easiest pokemon game to date. Unlike the other ones you really don't even need to grind what so ever. Like the game but that was a big disappointment for me. How are you underleveled? You miss a ton of trainers somewhere I wish I had your experience. I'm right before the eight gym(second playthrough) and my lowest level is 46 the rest are well into 50's 2 are in the 60's

Challenge yourself; me and some friends restarted y and X but we caught 6 random Pokemon and wonder traded for level 1's use only what you get
-
Trade me you're charizard with its mega stone.

Do it

Restart.

One bump. That's all.
