As I was browsing Twitter late last night, TheLegendBlue came up with an interesting tweet.
Stating: "Whoever the Kell of Kings is will probably be the upcoming raid boss. He's smart, leaking the other Kells locations to let us kill them."
Then I started thinking, what do we really know about the House of Kings on Earth? We've only killed two "ambassadors" during the House of Wolves mission where Skolas' baron met with two of the Kings' Barons to team up. When you eliminate the three Barons, getting respective Grimoire cards for each. Vekis' card states the following. "Of the Kell of Kings, we know nothing. Wherever, whoever it is, it remains hidden, even when the so-called Kell of Kells comes to its borders. Instead, it sends just two Barons: Paskin and Vekis."
So I started reviewing the other Fallen leaders that we've killed. We've killed the Winter's Archon & Kell. We've killed the Devil's Archon, the Wolves' Kell and all lower ranks to had broken out of the Reef. But only two King barons... Then there are the High Value Targets on Earth, King Captains that take a lot of punishment.
My question to the community with this information, what power would the stealthy House of Kings be trying to harness if they've almost toppled the City twice? Will this raid be the legendary request of fighting down at the Walls fighting off the entire House of Kings? Will this add the queue for 32 player Horde mode since this will have "more content than the first two DLCs combined."
But then... What do the Lords of Iron want from them? Could the Kings have stolen some forge or powerful tool from them? Is that why Lord Salad is cross-dressing with a cape and wielding a giant hammer?
TL;DR: House of Kings, what do we know? Are we getting the whole fighting down at the Walls with friends? What power could the Kings possess since they gave away all the other Kells for time? Did the Kings steal from the Lords of Iron and that's why Salad is coming?
I'd love to hear what anyone has to say!
Edit #1: Love to see what a lot of you have to say, from Variks being the conspiracy leader, to more information on the House of Kings that I hadn't heard of. Awesome feedback, but the overall answer to more questions... is probably at E3 in June. Stay sharp fam.
Edit #2: Now we're thinking Vex timegate that sends Guardians back to Twilight Gap, how cool would that be? Plus to those who stifle the creative thinking process from the Sleeper Simulant debacle, don't worry, we still have a couple weeks until E3 and the possibility to see who had the winning theory!
Edit #3: Its June 7th and Bungie revealed another teaser for Rise of Iron with gauntlets holding a big hammer. Seems that the minority were right that it was a big ol' hammer Lord Salad was wielding. (Suck it). (Tiny amount, still love ya'll)

I can predict it's WOTM ❤️
-
Whatever the raid is. I'm not letting you join my team unless your already experienced and have tom and spindle.
-
Most of the Fallen houses are broken, so they have no choice but to side with the Kings.
-
410 light required. Must have year 3 ghorn with experience. Know how to run shank puzzle, have a sniper with captain burn.
-
32 player horde mode, WE NEED THAT
-
The boss is going to be Randal the Vandal... Not even up for debate.
-
I told trump that wall thing was a bad idea but noooooo mr small loan of a million dollars just didn't listen now look we have to call the guardians... To come fix what he started.... I just blew my own mind...
-
32 player horde mode. I can't even... So epic
-
It'll most likely be on the snowy planet in the concept art too :D

The thing with the House of Kings is that we really don't know a ton about them. All the other houses have had their leadership broken, but the Kings are basically untouched. We've only killed 3 of their Barons and a handful of Captains, yet we don't even know who their Prime, Kell, or Archon are. We know their the most clever and manipulative. They have at least some level of influence over the other Houses, especially the Devils. They'll likely serve as the final obstacle for Variks' Kell of Kells plot. Hopefully once Variks succeeds we'll have fallen allies, if not fallen as a playable race.

Here's my prediction. House of Kings, having toppled all of the other major houses and therefore consolidating power over the fallen, will seek a treaty with the Tower. I predict that they will reason that we've killed all of the other fallen houses pretty single handedly and that they would be next so they would want to ally themselves with us to fight the other forces of darkness. However, the iron wolves and probably a few other veterans of the Twilight Gap battle will be blinded by their hatred for the Fallen and break off to attack the House of Kings. I think it makes sense that the House of Kings would want to ally themselves with an obviously and demonstrably more capable for against a common enemy (perhaps the Cabal) especially since their motives are essentially the same as the Guardians' motives, namely the reconstitution of the Traveler. The only thing that keeps this from happening is the inherent mistrust of the Fallen from many of the leaders of the Tower especially Lord Saladbar. How this will lead into a Fallen raid I'm not sure but I think it will lead to an early raid where we fight our way to the Kings' Kell, defeat him and him try to ally with us against an imminent Cabal invasion. Setting up the possibility for a second raid next spring against the Cabal leadership.

A horde mode to defend the wal.. Thad would be a joke
-
I figure this might revolve around Rasputin. The Kings have found some incredible technology to control Rasputin, or are attempting to control him. The other theory I've come up with is that Rasputin is the Kell of Kings. That would be cool.
-
Horde mode would never happen on this laggy as game
-
If it is on earth we are 100% dealing with Rasputin... It will probably involve a part of his bunker that we did not know about and will have the fallen infiltrate it

A brilliantly long post, however it's based on nothing but a "leak" and a picture. Nothing official from bungie that I know. It will probably be something rubbish. (Again.)
-
You know this means they can recycle the old HoW armor again? "Oh cool I got the Kingslayer's Greaves! Wait these look like the desolate greaves I already have... Oh well, higher light!"
-
Whatever it is bungie needs to get on board with releasing new content at regular intervals. This latest update is already played the hell out, they really dont manage this game well.
-
It seems like it would work
-
I say they are silly geese
-
The last bit of your post is what Bungie meant by the community setting overly large expectations.

Edited by Dubby: 5/23/2016 6:45:23 PMYou know when they say
the new expansion will have more content than the previous two combined
What they really mean is...... You don't get one new strike, you get TWO!! Isn't that exciting?????????
