I play a bit more crucible than my friends, and so when Solo Queueing I typically get sweaty teams. So what, I don't mind it. The whole Doctrine, TLW, Hawksaw meta it's whatever. I'll happily join in and play as always. What I'm not happy to do is have my friends who DON'T play PVP whatsoever who're using basic weapons literally AVOID playing any kind of crucible with me because of the past experiences we've had. Just today my buddy wanted to get back into Destiny, saw that there were Skirmish matches for Legendary marks and asked me to jump in with him and his work buddy. Their loadouts? An Answering Chord with Telesto, and some hand cannon and an awful shotgun. I joined their fireteam and stuck on equally bad weapons, thinking it'll just be a mess around; Boy was I wrong. A FULL team of scarabs self-rez warlocks using Doctrines and Snipers matched with them, I held them off to prevent us getting mercy'd after I switched to my Doctrine, but it was too late they already had had the WORST time they've ever had in a PVP experience. The opposite team T-Bagged them and messaged them telling them they suck, which genuinely isn't fair considering the scale they were put up against. One of my fireteam doesn't even know what Trials gear is, and so he was confused as to how they got these godly guns. (Yes, Doctrine is still godly). Can you please, just use CBMM. You're literally wrecking fireteams of varying degrees of skill, what do you want me to do Bungie? Throw tonnes of matches so I can have fun match with my friends? Force them to learn PVP intricacies and make them use "meta" (because yes, there is a meta) weapons? How about, introduce a ranked playlist for Skirmish? With SBMM implemented? No one would complain about that. Would they? TL:DR - My friends and I want to play crucible together, because of how often I play we get matched with sweaties, which I'm fine with. But it's unfair on my buddies who play PVP maybe once in a blue-moon for legendary marks and sterling treasure. Due to the matchmaker, they're just going to get wrecked by people I would typically match in Solo queue thus, making them want to not play with me.
