That's worst area in the game. I just ran, rolled through everything when I first reached that dungeon. Didn't enjoy finding all the secrets in that area before hitting NG+.

1 ReplyThey just want to play red light green light...

Kill them fast. Jailers are annoying.

No, they're just reducing your health. Has no relation to hollowing. Side note: obtaining their weapon is pointless. It special ability only slightly reduces how much someone heals from a estus flask.

Edited by weirdboy99: 5/20/2016 6:09:58 AMThe Jailors? No they don't hollow you, if they brand you once it does some damage and it gives you a mark, if you get branded when having the mark then you die. Its essentialy a 2 shot kill. You get hollowed if you use the "bring out you true strenght" by Yoel of Londor, if you never use that you never get hollowed. Best ways of dealing with them is a fast strike with a heavy weapon, it knocks them down giving you time to finish them, figure that out and they are not so bad but when I first fought them they were a pain to deal with.

Jailers don't turn you hollow, using Yoels free leveling does.

Nah. If they brand you, you're both stunned and can get one-shot if you have low health, and slow you down... In other words, -blam!- them.
-
If they brand you, you gotta mash b as fast as you can to roll away from the follow up attack. The first hit causes instant fat rolling and does decent damage, while the second hit does a ton of damage. I hate dealing with Jailers.

You get hollowing/dark sigil from yoel (the pilgram from the bridge before undead settlement). The jailers are simply a pain in the ass enemy type. 1)they can easy stun lock you with that branding iron if you're not careful 2)looking at them when they turn red can take your health down to one shot range
