-Just a quick poem inspired by destiny-
My friend
My guide
My sanity
The halls were once inviting
Colorful banners with ornate writing
Now they reek with rot
I stumble here
In these caves
These grime filled graves
As stench filled waves
Assault my senses…
I feel it
The madness lurking
Ever searching
For the one sane place
That I myself cannot find
Of madness I speak
Yet I only feel sadness
For the friends we’ve lost
My ghost is no more
We need the door
There must be a way!
I search and pray for the light of day
But I know I will find it not.
I am filled with sadness
And a slowly creeping madness
I hear them screeching
Searching, scrounging, scraping
These bleeding walls with blood drenched fingers
I cannot linger
I must be gone
But again, perhaps my mind is there
I fear the madness, but should i?
They cannot see me
They cannot hear me
These are now my halls
My blood covered walls
Not with banners or cheerful manners
But clawing, scratching, retching.
The madness.. It’s catching
“Madness did you say?”
“Don’t you mean darkness?”
I weep for I already know
The madness is here
It has been four years.
I have no more tears
Only vengeance!
Ever growing
My inner fire
The darkness mires
But my desire grows higher!
It strains against the weight of this place
This ghostly race
This tortured face
I whimper in fear
For all the years that I’ve been here
Am I one now. Is this what it takes?
I hear a name… Oryx
Perhaps he will come
Perhaps he will anoint me queen of darkness
For I know now
Never will I be free of this place.
It is a part of me now
My friend
My light
I feel you slipping away
But that is ok.
For it is replaced with darkness
Or better yet madness
