We really shouldn't have to go into hyperspace to travel between planets in the same solar system...
Impulse speed should be more than adequate - bs loading screens be damned.
Oh and fix the -blam!-in gravity!
There's no way mars and the moon have the same gravity physics as the earth.
Degrasse Tyson field day incoming!

I get what your saying about the gravity it would be cool to have semi real gravity, but it would get old going over a bump on the moon and going 80 feet in the air lol. Some semi real physics would be crazy awesome though!! And i get what your saying, this game would be amazing without loading screens and could finally be considered a MMO, it has some elements of a MMO but is not just because of that one thing. Loading screens.

What I hate even more is that we have go into hyperspace to go from the earth to the moon. And it can take minutes to get there when it should take less than a second (I know it's just a loading screen but come on Bungie).

The planets were terraformed with space magic, the moon doesn't have an excuse.

Edited by Ken Rocker: 5/12/2016 10:36:24 PMTerraforming doesn't change the mass of the planet. So few people understand physics it seems.
-
The bigger emphasis was with space magic. For all we know the creation of the atmosphere wasn't the only thing the traveler did when making the planet, the density could have been changed or just gravity increased of decreased with magic.
-
Edited by Ken Rocker: 5/12/2016 11:00:28 PMSpace magic or not, if you change the mass of the planets then they fall out of orbit - so ignore more physics at your peril.
-
I'm not ignoring physics, I'm just saying in the presence of s being that can bring back the dead and give them powers as well as make a breathable atmosphere in Mars, physics could be altered. Not saying it is, maybe our armour has certain properties, or for game play purposes it's much easy to have universal gravity
-
IMO it's lazy devs. There are such things as plausibility, such as powers and whatnot like the guardians have. But to ignore the very building blocks of that reality... Sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, but there is no amount of technology that will alter the mass of planets or moons without also altering their size AND decaying their orbits in the process.
-
It's about game play, it's easier for use to have universal gravity. And again you sag it's impossible to do that, it's impossible to bring a 100 year old corpse back to life
-
Edited by Ken Rocker: 5/13/2016 1:22:39 PMImplausible, sure. Impossible, no. Example: Jurassic park. DNA cloning. Plausible. Gravity the same on all planets? Impossible. Not in any reality near our own. But cheers for hearing me out.

Exactly, in a reality not near our. Destiny isn't a reality near ours
