Well in my eyes the start of destiny 2 will be the Traveler stirring. Killing the heart helped it heal and getting rid of Crota and Oryx allows the darkness to wane and give it the ability to stir. Not wake up but roll over in a sense. This releases a huge amount of light, but this causes concern.
The light imbued in us readjusts and we have new subclasses (the old ones come later)
Hunter
Dragon: uses solar energy to power up their cap to allow flight. Jump and attack to glide forward damaging those infront of you.
Spartan: create a shield and Pilus to defend your allies and slay your enemies. Think arc Blade but more utility.
Warlock
Shadow Binder: summon creatures from the void the fight for you, perks vary how the summoned creature helps you.
Helios Caster: concentrate solar light into a deadly beam of light. While very slow moving great at area control.
Titan
Shock Trooper: you though Golden gun was cool? The Titans now get a Minigun made from arc light.
Sentry: using void light, create sentry orbs above you that fire void light at enemies. A turret on your shoulder.
This burst of light also has some negative affects, the fallen are encouraged and the house of Thunder and house of Vipers join the fray. This light also gave visions to deceased guardians waiting for resurrection. These visions are cutscenes for the battle of twilight gap, Toland's fire team and Kabr's as well as when the traveler and darkness thought. These visions are as vague as the Grimoir so not all is literal.

Mini gun now.
-
Omg titan mini gun? I'm in love
-
This is actually really cool.
-
I feel the subclasses should effect the character based on how the classes are shown titans are the main battle tanks, the front lines. They defended the city in the lore, and there subclasses should reflect that. The subclass ideas are cool but dont reflect the class very much. Titans should have more tank supers that make them huge bullet sponges or a none damaging super like the bubble. Hunters should be quick moving with moderate damage types, the golden gun is a perfect example of that. Warlocks are the support class, they back the hunters up and the titans. They should have heavy damage dealing supers but mostly low armor. Good ideas though
-
Well I thought these supers did help represent the classes (except the Spartan) the dragon gets a lot of agility and moves around fast and is quite flashy. Shock trooper will be slow moving, but will gain high armour and can act as zone control. The sentry is very similar, abilities to be able to hold a certain point. And warlocks never really have much support options, but the shadowbinder will have creatures that help draw fire away and offer support to the others. Also the guardians gained there mentality from the powers they got; the traveler readjusted those powers so some could becomes confused as there role in the city changes as they loose something but gain others.
-
Fair enough. Those sub classes would be pretty cool i do have to say.
-
I think Titans should get the shield and spear. Mainly because...Titans are known for defending and attacking. Hunters are known for swift movements and long range. Titans would benefit more from a spear and shield more than hunters would.
-
I do agree, but couldn't think of anything else for hunter, and Titans already had hammers. Plus couldn't resist a Minigun for them
-
Hammers yeah but...I'd take a spear any day. Hunters? Hmmm...perhaps something like...perhaps transormation? You know like: Boom! Activate super turn into...a -blam!-ing Wolf, Bear, Lion, Cheeta, Hawk, etc... You could run/fly around the map running into people insta-killing them on impact. Every kill makes your health go up and your speed picks up too. Just an idea.
-
Possibly, maybe you infuse arc energy into the sparrow to make some form of mount you ride into battle? Could be an issue with small spaces.
-
Not on a sparrow...like you activate it (random lottery of which you'll become) then you form into the animal (of course it would be an arc ability so you couldn't be the actual thing).
-
That could be cool. Would you choose spear and shield over one of the two Titan classes I posted in my original comment?
-
I would say the minigun...because the dps might be too OP and the damage would have to be low. Also the stability of it too.
-
Well I assume the low movement speed and weapon handling would be a hassle. But of course it would deal a fiat bit of damage, it is a super. But in truth I'm an advocate of buffing most classes to make the supers feel super. So I could be trying to make classes that are op by today standards
-
Slow movement would be too much to me honestly. I wouldn't like moving around slower than usual firing off a (unlimited ammo?) Minigun. Honestly I'd love to see that Spartan class take effect for Titans though. Perhaps they could also throw spears too so that they could deal damage to bosses without dying from melee damage from bosses.
-
Well it needs to be balanced more, maybe not a huge drop in movement speed. But enough so the high damage isn't completely unstoppable. And yes the spears would be throwable, I am thinking of ideas for the spears to do when they are thrown, to give more utility.
-
What about...when the spears hit something they stick into it doing damage over time with something like a blast radius or a shock charge kind of effect.
-
That could be idea, sort of basic through. I was think when more than one is thrown they shoot arc bolts between them making walls of arc light
-
Hmm...I see what you mean there. Can the spears be destroyed? And do they last even after the thrower dies?
-
I would say they can be destroyed, and will end as the user dies
-
Ok...so the wall thing would be a cool idea, but do Guardians die instantly when they run through it? And can bullets go through the arc wall?
-
Billets can go through, and I would say they do die, but only if it's not a constant, like only the bolts that jump between it kill. It it just damages luvs lot and is constant
-
Billets? Lol Ok so if it's pulsating then...say we use it on a boss. If the spears are set up so that the boss is taking damage will it do a significant amount of damage? Or will it do just a little bit? Also can we block with the shield? And can we use a spear at the same time?
-
In my eyes you get three spear, with the right perks if you throw them all, they make a triangle, the arcs between the spear deal a good amount over time, but if your trapped between all three its much more damage as they let an arc torrent out between them. (If this is true the spears have to have to have limted arcing range so it can t cover a whole cruicble map. And yes the shield can be used to create a wall type cover, like half a bubble.
-
So far I like your thinking. Let's say we have more than one Spartan...can they connect their shields some how? Can the shield be broken? Can the shield block at least one super?
