Bring it into year 2 with a quest that has you purify it with light and turn it into Rose. This would bring it into year 2 with a new model, new perks, and no burn. Unique perk: Blossom of Light fires pink thorns that explode in a big(pink/red) explosion twice the size of firefly when you land 3 precision shots in a row. And give it unflinching ;) 8 round magazine to keep you from procing it 3 times back to back cause that big of a blast radius would be rough in skirmish.
