Real spoilers below
Ingame descriptions. For example, if you read all the item descriptions about the nameless King, you'll realize he's the denounced son of gwyn, the one he got rid of all evidence about.
• Solaire is the denounced son of Gwyn. Nameless King is either Sen or Faraam or another deity altogether.

 • When Myazaki, the ultimate lore master, the father of the franchise, says that Solaire isn't related to Gwynn, you kinda have take his word for it.
Solaire is the denounced son of Gwyn. Nameless King is either Sen or Faraam or another deity altogether.
Nameless king is the first born. Miyazaki said that the first born isnt in dark souls 1. The nameless king has more in common with the first born than solaire. He's a god of war that lost everything like the first born. His crown matches gywn. Ornstein also knew him personally

 • I can confirm. In lore, Ornstein supposedly left, and searched for the Nameless King.

 •
I can confirm. In lore, Ornstein supposedly left, and searched for the Nameless King.
Yep and the similarities of their weapons

 • That's also true. Both of the weapons supposedly belong to"Dragonslayer's" and are about the same. However, would that somehow make the Nameless King a dragonslayer, by any chance?

Nameless king might have been a mentor of sorts. But thats just speculation.

 • Wrong. That was a theory before ds3 but through item descriptions it becomes 100% concrete that NK is his son. Solaire is just an undead who did good for himself. His armor set in this game has descriptions that even bash him a little iirc

 • So Sen is the name of the firstborn?

 • Ire descriptions don't mention his name specifically, just make it 100% clear that he is gwyns. For example, we know gwyns firstborn had his "name and title removed from all writings for commiting a form of treason". We know that dragons are arch enemy's of people in gwyns time, and from descriptions we find that the NK "was labeled a traitor when he left his seat of nobility to ally himself with the dragons". That's one direct correlation, there is many though, I don't feel like rereading all the items right now as I'm kinda busy. But trust me, it's definetly clear that NK is gwyns first born.

 • Archdragon Peak also shares a lot with Sen's Fortress: the serpentine guards, the stone-like enemies (Titanite Demon and Rock Lizards), incredibly easy bosses (Iron Golem and the Wyvern), the appearance of Ricard, and the use of bells. This would either mean that Gwyn's firstborn was more of a God of Torture than a God of War, or the Nameless King is not the firstborn.

 • My man (or woman) trust me, I'm Into souls lore and before ds3 I thought solaire was the first born but it is now blaitantly clear that the NK is his firstborn. They did everything short of calling the boss "Gwyns First Born" to make it apparent who he is.

 • The firstborn had his entire history scratched from the records. Of course Solaire's history is gonna be sketchy because the history of the firstborn is unknown now.

 • The creator of the series says the son of gwyn isn't in dark souls 1.

 • Solaire has a better claim than the Nameless King who has way more in common with Sen.

 • Dude, you're not getting it. Miyazaki, the one who created dark souls, said that the firstborn wasn't in dark souls. Solaire was in dark souls. So how tf could it be him? Even if all evidence matched to solaire, miyazaki said it's not him.
