Glimmer Farming
I seem to be running out of glimmer a lot lately, so I've had to resort to glimmer farming, but I noticed that the glimmer stops after a certain amount and I have to die to get the glimmer to start registering again.
For example... I'll select Siege of the Warmind (Heroic). I'll equip my Hive ghost and head down into the Seraphim Vault killing the initial waves of thrall, acolytes and knights until I hit +166 glimmer. Once I reach that number I can't farm anymore. I have to jump to my death. Rinse and repeat.
Why?

1 ReplyFarm Omnigul for grasp of malok. You get killer glimmer for doing it with all the engram drops and use a black wax idol. Also you have a chance to get the grasp.

Easier ways to farm glimmer 1 - Farm patrols, each patrols gives 250-500 2 - Do old raids, collect the chest for materials exchange for glimmer at the speaker 3 - Farm CoO, dismantle drops gives a good amount of glimmer

Bungie def did something bout farming glimmer and I never read about the change anywhere. I got my glimmer up by doing the raid. I could get 4k without any buffs
