So apparently about 1% of the player base has received cryptic messages from a "user" known as Absense Vigil - a figure that has been marked as the secret to the next "hidden weapon/armor/event" - - However, it all seems like an elaborate hoax, and while VERY WELL DONE, it could set off millions on a wild goose chase. Even worse than the time-gated sleeper which you guys PROMISED you'd never release something like that again. On to brass tacks. Someone has actually received a hidden message that has a picture of hanging bodies that had committed suicide in a forest, with Destiny borders around the dead bodies. People will think that Destiny Employees are sending suicide photos to its members as an event advertisement. I don't care either way, but if it's going that far to prove a point and remain anonymous, you guys need to come clean. For the sake of not wasting time and/or causing real-life harm to people, I would like BungieOfficial to validate this phenomena or strike it down. I'm not saying to spoil the surprise or even tell us how to solve it, in the fact that it's real. But it is currently the highest UP-VOTED topic in all of Destiny Forums. There is absolutely no way you can miss it if you click the "forums" tab. So that is my verdict. I want someone to come clean. None of it makes sense. Why would you have an employee anonymously send messages a fraction of a percent of your playerbase? Also. Why use gore and/or suicidal images? There is only one way to settle this down. We ask for an answer.
