So we all know about lightning grenades. They are nice. They perform well. They require a skilled hand for optimum placement and performance. They are not overpowered, they are just right. They are in a perfect spot. But did you know that the striker titan has 2 other grenades it it's arsenal? You may have seen the underwhelming cousin of the lightning grenade, the pulse grenade. It has it benefits. Crowd control in a smaller area. Lesser damage. Unable to be destroyed after it lands and implodes on hard surfaces. But did you know about that step child? That one that is the standard CoD Flashback support grenade? The Flash Grenade is by far the most underwhelming grenade to ever exist in Destiny. No one uses it. And if someone does they are going get a shotgun to the face because I can still see them. So here are my thoughts on fixing this rock that the titan throws. Let it reward a skilled hand and have it explode on impact. If an enemy is in the center of the explosion allow it to deal lethal damage. The AoE for damage should be significantly smaller than the flash. The flash in AoE should be a little larger and actually flash the entire screen within its AoE and stay for at least half a second if you are the farthest away from the grenade and up to 3 seconds if you were closest to it without taking lethal damage. This should make it a more viable option when it comes to PvP and still make it useful in PvE. Edit: The issue with the Flash grenade isn't noticeable in PvE. It does damage on a greater scale. It blinds NPCs at a standard range and at 100% rate no matter how far they are from the grenade. The issue lies within PvP. I tried using it last night just to see how underwhelming it was still and I had a large variation between blind as a bat and seeing me clear as day. I want to test and put up a video in a set environment to be able to show exactly at what I am talking about. I may do so in the upcoming week.
