Warlock favoritism?

Personally, I like the Fabian Stategy. I think it's a fairly good weapon with lots of potential. Problem is, Bungie tried so hard to avoid creating an Over Powered weapon, that they unintentionally created an Under Powered weapon. This rant is me explaining how I view the case of Class-Exclusive Exotic Weapons. Looking at the class-exclusive exotic weapons, I figured out that Bungie gave the Warlocks the real deal, but were really more than a bit cheap with the Titans, Exotic class-exclusive weapons are actually not really as balanced as Bungie would think they are. Tlaloc and Fabian Strategy is an excellent example. The Tlaloc's exotic perk, Overflow, grants increases to fire rate, stability, range and handling. Overall, the weapon becomes a very strong competitor to the Mida. The Fabian Strategy's exotic perk, Front Lines, functions much in the same way, Exept with one, very major flaw that makes it inferior to the Tlaloc: The impact is reduced. The Tlaloc's impact is left unchanged and the fire rate is increased, and but the Fabian Strategy's impact is reduced while fire rate is also increased. Now this is something I can only interpret as Warlock Favoritism. Overflow basically takes the Tlaloc from a Vision of Confluence-type Scout Rifle, and turns it into a Mida-type Scout Rifle. A very dramatic increase in effectiveness. Notice how it functions from like a Year 1 weapon to a Year 2 weapon. Front Lines basically takes the Fabian Stategy from a Hard Light-type Auto Rifle, and turns it into a Necrochasm-type Auto Rifle. It makes a decent weapon into a poor weapon. Notice how it functions from like a Year 2 weapon to a Year 1 weapon. The main point I'm trying to get across is, Why? Why do Warlocks get a top-tier weapon when Overflow is active while Titans get a mid-tier weapon when Front Lines is active? (I left Ace of Spades out of this because it's a perfectly balanced weapon, good job with the Hunters, Bungie). If the weapon simply didn't recieve an impact reduction when Front Lines is active, than all the class-exclusive exotic weapons would be on the same level, rather than Warlocks and Hunters on top, with Titans further down the line, and the classes more balanced overall. If the impact was left the same with Front Lines active, it would probably be used a lot more than it already is.

  • For me warlocks are absolutely not favoured. Titans has shoulder charge, hunters has shade step + cloaking, name any ability beyond grenade and super that warlocks can use for its disposal? Beside it, warlocks are extremely low agility and the glide is the worst way of translation so slow. They are fair.

  • Warlocks sure are the favorites. That must be why they haven't gotten any Exotics Boots yet.

    • How often do you not use super? You know tlaloc is exactly like mida when you have the super maxed out right? I promise you its not any better than anything else in the game. A jade rabbit could kill a person using tlaloc any time

I think you are vastly underestimating how much you're having to trade off by not using your super in order to have that type of weapon. Let's say the hunters and titans had the exact same weapon. How long would you be willing to not use your super in order to have a mida equivalent? Oh you'd just use mida and keep your super? Does it seem about on par with the other two weapons as far as usefulness when you put it that way?

        • You forgot to mention anything about the downside to overflow. Overflow is only active while super is charged. That is a pretty big trade off. What is the Fab Strat's downside? If I get to close to my enemy my gun magically become a Doctrine of Passing. Although I do think the muzzle flare on Fab Strat needs to be nerfed. Every time I pull the trigger I can barely see what I'm shooting at.

          • Warlocks are too swag to nerf. That's why bungie let them slip.

          • Overflow actually increased the fire rate to spam scout levels like the inward lamp or NL-shadow

          • Its not favoritism bungie just got lazy. Look at class exotic armor some are really useful while most are worthless. I don't get how they can put so much thought into the appearance but just slap some random perks on it. Look at the empyrean helmet looks awesome but has a pointless perk.

You're having to trade using your super for a better neutral game. Not only that, but the weapon's perk doesn't come into play until after you've gotten your super, meaning that it's a fairly average scout rifle until then.
