Fractured House ( Chapter twelve : Sharper still )

I fall to my knees. They were gone. I was alone on this ship with these vile creatures. I felt tears well up in my eyes, but I stopped them. Pull yourself together man! You are Ezkor! Baron of Devils! You can take some puny excuses for life forms! I stood up. I heard the thrall coming at me, their screams piercing the stillness like a knife in flesh. I drew my blades and turned to face them. The thrall swarmed me in seconds. They clawed at any part of my they could, tearing at my armor and cloaks. They shrieked in frustration when they weren't hitting flesh. I sliced them down with ease, but there seemed to be an infinite number of them. I battled the thrall for hours, slicing them down, but I could feel them starting to wear my armor down. I was battling near a wall when a thrall launched itself at me and threw me into the wall. The wall shattered and I fell down it, hitting small beams. I finally hit a large beam. I grabbed on and held there for a second. I saw the thrall's body fall past me, lifeless and limp. I stood up. This gap seemed to extend forever in either direction, with beams crossing between two walls on either side. I looked around. The walls were made of long thin strands of an unknown material, and there were handholds and cracks all along it. I would have to climb. Later I had been climbing for what seemed like hours when I came to a section of wall that looked really thin. I punched through it with my robotic arm and climbed through. It was a small room with two doors parallel to eachother. The floor was covered in dust, and it was lit by a single dim lantern. On the far wall was a rack. The rack contained swords. Big blades, clearly meant for battle. The swords looked big and bulky, unlike my thin and quick shock blades. I pick one up. It was surprisingly light and the handle seemed to conform to my palms when I touched it. I decided to take it, for it might be useful. I opened one of the doors and walked out into a long hallway. The central walkway was flanked by pillars all the way down. Lanterns hung from the ceiling. I began walking down the path, alert for any movement. I saw a knight coming and quickly hid in the shadows behind a pillar. The knight walked past me and I drew the huge sword. I quietly creeped up behind him and slit his throat with the blade. What I felt then was a rush of euphoria, I felt power surge through my limbs. I felt as if I had absorbed the knight's power. I look fat my blade. The edge seemed a little more keen, a little sharper. I continued walking down the hall. I knew not where I was, but with this blade, I knew, somehow, that I could survive.
Hope you enjoyed! Sorry for not posting as often, life has been really busy recently. I'm hoping to produce a chapter every other day, so please be patient.
