Because that doesn't change how many options there are. If op were to ask "do you like sniping or not?", your ability to snipe or lack thereof wouldn't create an extra option.

How should one answer that truthfully then? If one answers "Yes" or "No" in what comparison is that decision made? Or to whom? And in which context, PVP, PVE? Specifically in which challenge, maps, raids or context then? You see all of this is really just completely arbitrary.
As most things we see here in #Destiny it's most likely pvp related. Then when you think about the most relevant game modes being trials, ib, control, & skirmish, op is like asking whether or not players believe they can snipe in those game modes.
With ib/control revolving around b flag & choke points one could say sniping proficiency in those game modes is needed less than the others. Then with trials revolving around radar & orbs, one could say sniping proficiency isn't as important unless you are able to take out multiple players by consistently landing headshots.
It really is quite the conundrum when you really think about things.

Yep, and I just think it's a silly question actually. Assuming he is referencing PVP only there are many variables still on the table. On any good day one might do well, but on any another not so well. So it comes down to averages, like what time are you playing on average? Which maps? Which sniper weapon are you using?, Which spots are you camping? etc.
Also in order to figure all that out you must collect and document the data, but again this is all just arbitrary based on who was playing against you at the time? Are you doing pre-made groups? Or just random's by yourself? How many kills do you get and in which game? How many times do you get killed? etc.
