Just a tip... Increasing saturation is not a good form of CC.

I'm new at editing, so appreciate any tips at all. What would you recommend?

  • I'd need to know what program you're using

  • I use after effects, which is much more powerful, but when it comes to destiny editing it isn't all too useful. For professional level colour correction, I'd look into magic bullet looks. It's expensive, but I'm sure you could find ways around that lol. Then you can use its built in presets, or I'm sure you can use other people's colour correction settings. And I just checked, you can get it on Vegas pro.

  • If you're wanting more professional programs with much more potential, I'd recommend after effects. It's a bit daunting at first, but once you know your way around it is much better for things like montages in the long run. Another program if you want to start using 3D motion tracking (for things like 3D text that appears to be floating) is boujou. Yeah it costs $5,000, but ah... Well yeah.

Lol. I recently got a trial of after effects, and it was too daunting to learn that in time to get the montage done, but I'm definitely learning it for my next one.
