They made the same mistake as 343 industries: not enough conflict between two characters whose conflict is what the plot is supposed to revolve around. Writers are such pansies nowadays, not wanting to have any real conflict between two good guys.

If DC and Warner had its shit together, the opening Metropolis scene in Batman v Superman would have been a post credit scene in Man of Steel. We all would have been like "whooooaaa!" But DC and Warner have no idea where this is going and we get introduced to new characters through Diana's e-mail.
