You probably already know about the phalanx. Named after the Ancient Greek(?) military formation. Or whatever their version of a military was. It's like a wall of shields with spears sticking out of the gaps between the shields. Those with the shields protected the group (obviously) and those behind them would attack anyone who got close. Made it very easy to advance or retreat with minimal casualties
You'll see the resemblance in the Valus Ta'aurc encounter. Three phalanxes will sit side by side in the centre of the room and fire at you from behind their shields.
Sorry if I got any information wrong but that's all I can remember
I think all cabal units were named after the Romans. Legionaries: soldiers in Roman legions Centurion: leader of 100 in Roman army
-
I would love it if the emperor was called Ares or Mars since the cabal units are named after ancient Greek/Roman military titles and formations
-
its only roman troop names they use nothing greek about them lol
-
I thought phalanx was Ancient Greek
-
as far as i remember it was a shield group of the roman army, but i could be wrong. it is a latin term and romans used latin as their language
-
Well I did put a (?) after Greek because I wasn't quite sure. I didn't look too much into it so it could've been Roman after all
-
Actually, I didn't know that. That's pretty cool to know.
