While I wont try to convince you I do wonder myself what the hype is about?.
When DS1 came out many where on about how gruelling and punishing it was but I've just watched someone on YouTube play some DS3 and it actually looks easy..or at least not as hard as some say I mean the guy just started a new game and was literally one shoting everything bar bosses/mini bosses which really didn't take much effort to kill.
Is the game gruelling as in you have a set number of saves? Or if you get caught with no health potions?.
No disrespect to the games or its players it just really doesn't come across as hard as some make it sound.
English

That's because it isn't as hard as it's made out to be. It has a learning curve which apparently these days means it's super hard.
-
Considering the current version of the game in English has a scaled down difficulty for reviewers, that explains why it's a tad easier. When the final game releases it'll be much more tough.
-
He downloaded and played the jap version as they got it March 24th something the Devs haven't discouraged. But yes changing it over to English lowers it.
-
It definitely doesn't look easy or not hard, but it, along with dark souls 2 and Bloodborne, don't have that mechanic where you learn much from death. In dark souls 1, you would usually have to die a load of times before knowing how to take down a particular enemy, too learn its move set. In the newer titles, you could easily take down a boss first try if you pay enough attention. (Except throne watcher and throne defender) I hope dark souls 3 changes that
-
Have you played Darksouls?
-
Does my post give that impression?
-
You claim it to be easy so no I don't think you have played it.
-
No I have not as like I said I've not seen what the hypes about nor do I see how the game is as gruelling or punishing as others say. They guy I watched play literally started a brand new game and came out one shoting most enemies and killing bosses/mini bosses extremely quick for a game that's supposed to be 'harsh' on the player. The games pattern seems to be basic enough throw fireball, roll in, strike, rollout repeat.
-
You haven't played it so you don't know what your talking about. Play it, then come back and talk to me.
-
I've played Lords of the fallen which is toted as a 'easier' version of the game and from what I've seen it looks very similar and the same rules apply in LoF roll in,strike, roll out, repeat till enemies dead. Maybe a few of you just need to get good learn patience and timing.

-
*do they share the same mechanics. ~not sarcasm. Both games out you against stronger enemies that you need to work out the move set for, timing and patience LoF may be easier in so far as there's less of a learning curve but all that tells me is that players rush in rather then having patience to learn the enemies moves before striking. Impatience makes a game harder it doesn't team the game is inherently hard.

Is Lords of the Fallen a Souls game. Yes, or no?
*notice the sarcasm
Cringe

That man who could one shot bosses must've had a particular build to be able to do that. No boss normally dies at that speed. But in reality, Dark Souls is only difficult because of the learning curve when it comes to learning the controls completely and then learning the move sets of your weapons and the enemies.
