Sols, as well as many MANY others, have been asking Bungie since launch for this. It's not that it couldn't be done (unless Luke Smith, Lars Bakken, Derek Carrol, Mark Noseworthy, Sage Merril, Jon Weisnewski, Jason Jones are all inept), it's that they blatantly have ignored it and the entire games community that has been asking for what exists as code already. The provided link is simple testament to how it's literally ridiculous the aforementioned developers wouldn't apply the most basic option, that works so well in other games as well as the division. It simply solidifies what Sols is asking for, as well as all other community Bungie has ignored since launch. From linked article: 4. Dear God, Matchmaking "How many times do I have to say it at this point? Thank the lord that The Division actually gets this right, as it’s miraculous to me that Destiny is still so lost in the woods about this. Every endgame Division activity has matchmaking, including max-level Dark Zone and ultra-hard Challenge missions. Yes, it is obviously easier and better and more fun to go into these activities with a group of friends or clanmates, but the option being there for matchmaking is the important point. Without it, I would rarely do the Dark Zone and probably wouldn’t bother much with endgame farming at all, but I’ve been very successful with matchmade groups in even the hardest areas of the games. Yes, sometimes it’s all gone to hell, but who cares? I know that’s a risk, but I still want the option. And that’s the thing, there are still tons of options. You can matchmake, you can play solo, you can play with friends, you can find a more cohesive team using TheDivisionLFG.com."

If I want to run Kings Fall or Trials of Osiris with a bunch of randoms that should be my choice. I paid for the content so I should be able to access it at will.

  • If matchmaking for raids "was" in the game, the several moments during the week either waiting for clan mates or friends to get home from work, OR school (examples) would've been spent matchmaking. I imagine our lists would've grown from players who were already in-game raiding, than turning on a computer, logging on to it, opening a website, logging onto it, scrolling through post after post, responding to it, posting an independent post and waiting for responses to it.... they are morons. Selecting a feature in a game avoids all that. But nope.

  • Hmmmmm.... Let's see. Bungies mentality: 1. Go to a separate device. 2. Turn it on and wait for start up. 3. Log on. 4. Open a browser. 5. Load up a website. 6. Log in that website. 7. Click the LFG posts forum. 8. Scroll through recent posts. 9. Responding to one limits your chances of getting into a raid. So you respond to multiple. 10. Sit and wait, or type your own LFG thread up. 11. Accept the invite to a raid thread you replied to, and have to deny the others to be polite. 12. Close your own posted thread to be polite. Or... Sols and community's idea: 1. Select an in-game matchmaking for a raid and instantly join a group.
What a bunch of dumb developers.
• Kingfall's through LFG with a random group probably takes 10 hours to complete with all the LFG bullshit included. Those 12 steps I would consider what you would have to do at a minimum, most of the time one or more people leave, or the raid group disbands altogether and it's back to lfg to repeat the process.

  • Because a scale of measurement and percentages is infinite, there is truth to the amount of time you pointed out. However, the debate isn't how efficient or ineffective a group of players is/are. It's about the feature versus the lack thereof. ;)
