So I've been doing a lot of spindle carries, literally with all the free time I have when it's the daily. So every day I check my phone to see the daily and decide if I'm playing today or not.
So when Lost to Light is the daily, I update my old post or make a new one. I enjoy helping people out, because without some people like us, who is going to help a 250 light guardian get an exotic sniper? I've been told countless times now how grateful and easy it was to run with me. I make it simple, I help adjust their loadout, attributes and give them a job during the mission. I only have one problem...
So I try and help people get a gun they don't have.. But most people either don't read my post, or flat out lie saying they need it.. When in reality they're only trying to farm for the ship. I loathe these people.. I'm putting in my own valuable time for those who actually need it, so they can actually get picked up in a raid or whatever. But these people could care less and just think you aren't going to inspect them or something, then they lie or go "oh I didn't know?" (When the healine is "No Black Spindle?")
So in all honesty.. Should I keep doing what I'm doing and try to make these forums a better place? Or just say screw it and don't care if they get it or not and waste hours trying.
I also do lighthouse carries and sometimes stream. I've never asked once for a follow or anything. I just like helping. Someone today told me I should start a website and sell my services because I'm so good at what I do or whatever, jokingly of course. I could never be 'that' guy. I just like to have fun, and gamers are too serious anymore.
Again, I appreciate the love and support from those that actually do enjoy when people like myself help them. It feels great to help someone when they've been failing for hours or week after week and you just hear it in their voice. Much respect fellow sherpas.
So just incase anyone is curious and does struggle, here's my strat for the final room..
☆Easiest boss room strategy. ♡Have one shotgunner in your party, or all 3.
■Upon entering room kill every add.
□Once all enemies are down, everyone DPS the boss at the same time.
■Once adds spawn in, immediately call it out and stop attacking the boss.
□All 3 on adds now, with one primary guy destroying blights.
■Once all dead again, DPS boss again.
□There are 4 waves of adds, 1 at the start and 3 more after that.
~Any quest¿ons message me on here or ps4 for details.
I can also give advice on any other part depending on your class/weapons. Don't be afraid to ask for help. :)
1 ReplyI have sherpa'd once. I took 5guys through the oryx raid start to finish that never went through it before. I didn't intend to Sherpa originally, I just got invited to a group of 5 friends who needed a sixth that never done it before. I like to think I'm a pretty laid back gamer ( I'm an old fart) so I walked them through the whole thing strategy and all. Sure there were wipes but I expect that. I also know it's a game, not something you clock into and I had a chance to enjoy this with folks I didn't know. We died, we laughed and we evaluated where we might have gone wrong and fixed it. When we beat oryx those guys were so excited but the best part of the whole experience was how grateful they were to me. Not just that I helped them through it but that I made it fun, laid back and non stressful. They said they wish they had someone like me to help/teach on everything. Best end game reward ever. Tal;DR Sherpa is one of the few selfless acts in a gaming community we can do. Don't let a few sour apples ruin it for you. You or doing a great service for the less fortunate regardless.

2 RepliesI've tried to help people with LoL a few times, usually I just run stormcaller and kill all ADS and have them take down blights and start to damage the boss. If I had a stronger heavy (right now 306 SS) I could help take him down quicker. Props to you though for always helping out.

1 ReplyI think it's a great thing that you're helping people get the spindle since there still are raid groups saying people need spindle or locked only thing bothering me is your title. It says if I care about spindle carrying but if I hit the yes option it ends up being like yes keep doing it but that's also saying yes I care stop doing it but if I hit no its saying no stop doing this but it's saying no I don't care. Fit bungie or fix it op!!! In all seriousness that really is bothering me.

Trust me, players like you are under-appreciated. There are way too many negative buttholes in this community who scoff at the idea of helping a fellow player out because the idea of help is somehow "below them". Those people are the cancer of this game. I applaud gamers like you who offer aid for the sake of being helpful, and have had the pleasure of making friends with a few of them myself. As I improve, I hope to be to return the favor to fellow players. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the idea of perpetuating positivity within this game, especially in a time where most players are as salty as mcdonalds fries over every stupid little thing.

3 RepliesBeen trying to get my son his spindle but haven't been successful. He's got a 312 hunter and we just can't get it. Got mine way back in November I think. Could use some help next time. He's 9. Sure would help him out to be able to raid. I'm faiking as a dad cuz I can't get him a spindle lol

1 ReplyI'll do anything for the right price.

Got a low lvl friend who just had to restart on ps4 due to loosing their 360, and they will need to get geared up for raiding
and also, I wouldn't call it the easiest My " easiest" is two titans or one Titan and a nightstalker with raze lighter, get in, trap boss, kill boss, kill adds, done.
4 RepliesI tried to help last time I saw the daily but I didn't have a strat for the final room and we gave up, sounds like a good start though!

2 RepliesArr you on PS3? Cuz f you are, please add me. I desperately need that weapon, and I love helping guardians out as well.
-

Edited by Oddish43: 3/23/2016 1:27:59 AMGot the Spindle already, and not good enough to carry others. But why not? You're helping people get a really nice piece of equipment, so good on you. :)

5 RepliesFinally got the Vienna Singer from the Daily Heroic yesterday. I've done this Daily Heroic to try and get the ship so many times with no success (and 8 Black Spindles). When it becomes the Daily Heroic again and I have time I will gladly help people with it.
-
1 ReplyYou're helping people become more useful in the raid, so keep going. Luckily I managed to get spindle on the very first day, after 5 hours of trying with different groups.
-
1 ReplyHelp people. You never know, they could help you again sometime.
-
1 ReplyI help out my clan and friends. Not much else.
-
1 ReplySherpa's seem in short supply now adays. Keep doing what you're doing.
-
1 ReplyI help people get it every time it comes up too. This is a social game and I think helping others is a big part of that.
-
In a sense I agree but your are also -blam!-ing over people later on because they'll get into a raid group but yet they suck
-
1 ReplyJoin a clan and help them out.
-
1 ReplyKeep helping players. Nothing wrong with that.
-
3 RepliesWhere's the "If it makes you happy keep going" option?
-
1 ReplyTl;dr
-
1 ReplyI supported you for what your doing as I do the same. (beside lighthouse carry) it's hard to tell if someone is lying or not beside checking the grimmor. I don't check at all As I make small chat to see if they have or not. Most of the time they say they want the ship as got the gun already. Then I ask them nicely to leave and a reason why. Anyways, your call man. Do what you think is right for you. Keep up the good work. P.s. I need a help on trials ... I suck lol... Joking ...not interested in trials... Yet.

1 Replyif you can help one in a hundred, isn't it worth it? I think so.
