• I did. Nowhere in the lore does it mention TFC having anything to do with Thorn.

While a some theories are well-thought, reasonable, and presented well, I find that too often they are just flat out wrong. In this sense, I must develop my own understanding based on what whatever credible sources are at my disposal. That way, if any question my logic or knowledge, I can just point to the appropriate file/note/card with the info on it. For instance, why rename the weapon? What point is there in that, especially when the name is already a legend? And why not make twin weapons for friends rather than actual twins? Happens often enough, why not here? As for why Jaren failed, I think it would be equally difficult to kill a friend, a former comrade who has fought by your side for some time, as it would be to kill family (from watching this clip here.) The First Curse essentially disappeared without a trace, but Rose was well established. To that end, if TFC was relabeled as Rose, then it would stand to reason that more Ghosts would know about it so there wouldn't be a whole lot of guesswork involved. Besides, it would be extremely difficult to rename a weapon that has its name already engraved on the barrel.

  • Saw that and it's not hard to take a weapon that was reformed and change the name. Also look at the green glow that comes from first curse. Also I already saw that video.

  • The name would have had to have been changed from First Curse to Rose before Rose became Thorn. Which means someone (like a Ghost that has been around that long) would still make a connection and everyone would know.

  • The rose became thorn and the first curse is a replica resembling rose because rose and thorn can't exists at the same time...

  • That rule has already been broken for another weapon and for Exotics in general. Besides, this method would actually follow that rule if Thorn remains just a Year 1 weapon, since the new Rose would exist after Thorn in Year 2 or later and that is assuming that the original First Curse and Rose were one in the same. If they aren't, then it wouldn't matter. Tell you what. I do respect your input and research into the subject, but I'm not really a fan of the what if/it could/why not conjecture thing. Too many holes to fall in like the maze in the King's Fall raid. Arguments can be made either way, but there isn't a whole lot of direct proof saying one thing or another. With that in mind, I'm just going to proceed as normal with what I do have until the story writers say yay/nay on the subject.
