"We will have a complete removal of Muslims in America!"
Actually no. He's actually talking about banning them from coming in and given the statistics I don't think it's such a terrible idea, especially with ISIS doing what they're doing. He's also said on multiple occasions it would be temporary. Besides it seems like the only Muslims that actually come here are middle class Muslims escaping from the horrors of the Middle East, or they're terrorists.
"I could go and shoot someone in the middle of the street and I wouldn't lose any voters."
He was joking. F*ck, I don't even like the guy and I could tell he was messing around.
"If I am elected, we are going to open up those libel laws! That way, if the media says any purposely mean, slanderous, or false thing about you, then we can sue them for a lot of money! We're gonna open up those libel laws!"
After all of the lies, slandering, and outright made up things I've seen reported in the media over the last couple years, especially about GamerGate where some of the outlets flat out admitted to people they weren't interested in telling the truth or both sides of the story, this is something I'm for. The media has become god awful and money hungry and they don't care who they hurt or get killed and that has to stop. The media is becoming a cancer that only makes bad things worse. Gawker right now is being sued by Hulk Hogan for leaking his sex tape, they're getting their asses handed to them in court, in a trial that could bankrupt them and I hope it does. They're a horrible media outlet only concerned with getting clicks and nothing else.
"We're going to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it! We don't like immigrants!"
He means is illegal immigrants obviously, as he's clarified in several interviews I've seen of him. A lot of Hispanics support him for wanting to crackdown on illegal immigration because they think it makes them look bad. I think the wall is stupid but several European countries have been building them to keep out migrants so who gives a shit.
"Anyone who is Muslim is in-American!"
That just sounds like him tripping on words. You also realized he backed away from a Muslim registry? And even then after watching the interview I could barely hear the reporter and it sounds like he and Trump are having two different conversations. The reporter keeps asking about a registry for Muslims and monitoring them and Trump keeps talking about keeping an eye on extremists and dealing with illegal immigration. All in all, it just seems like a poorly conducted interview.
"I will lower taxes and our national debt!"
This doesn't sound like a terrible thing to say. This seems like something he genuinely thinks he can do.
These are aggressive and false statements.
How? Most of these things are defensive moves, dealing with actual problems people want to see dealt with(you can disagree with the methods which I do to a certain extent), and a joke.
These are aggressive and false statements. He's building a following on hate mongering. Don't believe me? The Daily Show did a nice little segment exposing this:
You mean the heavily left wing news show that failed to cover the multiple clarifications that Trump made to his statements played in the video? And whose parent company heavily donates to Hillary? I can't wait to see them cover the fact the Grand Wizard of the KKK's California branch just started supporting Hillary.
He's a liar and he's playing into people insecurities while appealing to rednecks. That's why he doesn't want to condemn David Duke and the KKK. He'd lose a lot of support.
Except he explicitly declined support from them and disavowed them on Fox News. Besides Hillary Clinton is being backed by actual members of the KKK and no one has said a word about that yet.
He's certainly smart, picking the idiotic demographic. Hats off to you trump. Hopefully there's more educated humans voting this year than the scared and ignorant.
Considering the other option is Hillary, I think I'll take Trump.

And no response from the teenager using the daily show as proof.

I think he realized he was wrong and changed his mind. Or he's just sticking his fingers in his ears.

I'm gonna go with the latter. Good post btw.

The attack on the "I will lower taxes and our national debt!" statement has to be the most pathetic of the lot. I'm trying to think of a candidate who hasn't said that. I'm also trying to figure out how it's a bad thing and how it even legitimately made the list. Fantastic rebuttal by the way.

Thank you.
