Lol those bosses are mediocre at best. At least a Raid boss, from any game that has them, is more engaging than a bullet sponge boss.

Edited by BeanTwenty3: 3/15/2016 5:13:24 PMMost raid bosses or bosses in general are bullet sponges in almost all tittles Sometimes the sponges have different sponge layers too

I think of theses boss fights more as strikes but the last main mission tho....wasn't expecting that lol hopefully incursions take what that mission had to a whole another level and then I'll compare it to raids (yes I know the games are tremendously different but still) but Vog was amazing endgame so it'll be hard to live up to
-
Yeh also they are Completely different games so we shouldn't compare vault with division, or any of it with each other really haha sure it's a looter shooter but the similarities end there I think :)
-
Awww yah fasure!

Point is, Destiny Raid Bosses are not just normal NPC with bigger health pools. You have to do something in order to damage them. On the Division nope, you just shoot him till he dies without worrying about him doing something out of the extraordinary.

Edited by puppyk1sses: 3/15/2016 8:48:05 PMThere are no raids in Division yet. It's unfair to compare a game that's had a year and a half to sort itself out (and still can't even figure it out!) to a game that's been out for a week. To be fair, let's compare Division's "bullet sponges" to Vanilla Destiny strike bosses. Yup, exactly the same. Only difference is that Destiny bosses are bigger, with a much larger crit zone, and move slower. They are still reskins of normal enemies, just like Division. They were every single bit as bullet spongy. There were no noteworthy mechanics. You kill adds--> shoot the boss in their enormous crit spots with all your anmo until they died.

At least in Destiny a Caption can be killed fast compared to the Arkon Priest.

What super power do you expect a human to have?
-
Here you go. 3/5 Humanoid boss fight without using Super Powers.
-
To be honest the only destiny boss I rate is Athlon and the gatekeeper those where awesome designs in fact I think the vault of glass is probably one of my favourite gaming times in a raid ever. Everything else I thought was just sponges with mechanics made to make you just move and do a jump puzzle but ultimately hit the sponge on his many layers

You didn't do King's Fall...
-
Edited by BeanTwenty3: 3/15/2016 5:32:07 PMI had honestly left the game before then really I love it but lost interest, I however watched lots of kings fall stuff on goths lions and gunny streams and they all locked like sponges, they also said themselves the first time through was super fun but after that was just boring unlike vault. It's what it looked like to me, take it as you will but I'm being honest. I'm not defending the division either and this goes far beyond destiny as a boss issue, I wouldn't even call it an issue tbh it's nothing not done and not come accross before so why expect any different? I will commend destiny though they are atleast trying to be as inventive as they can and it has been different each time so kudos to them but imho still sponges. That being said destinys gunplay is just astoundingly good, I hope they do release content soon and more regularly as the game imho still has the Most potential or of anything but I have. Feeling they are waiting until destiny 2 where they are on this gen exclusively shame really Edit ; sorry for my horrific grammar and spelling I am coming home on the train "thumbs up"

I honestly don't see the problem with bullet sponges unless they don't have mechanics. Its like saying a Dark Soul boss is a sword sponge for taking too many hits than normal.
-
Yeh you hit the nail on the head. Tbh there's so many moves and abilities flying at you in the division I do feel like it's not a sponge and turrets etc it just feels like it's meant to for memo think an rpg war zone
-
I only see the usual grenades spam you see in other shooters lol.
-
Yeah. Bosses are supposed to be sponges lol. When we get raids we may get better bosses.
-
Hopefully.
