Ok, if it was mockery (what DeeJ said wasnt, at all, the OP was amused and idiots who werent even involved started acting like victims) then it would depend on the severity. Action would range from a quiet word to one side, to disciplinary action, suspension pending investigation, or at the worst sacking due to gross misconduct. But it really would depend on the severity of the offence at the managers discretion. Racial abuse? Out the door. Mild prodding? Probably no more than a "Dont do it again".
