Yes i am serious. No, I don't think he should be required to play. Whether he wants to know where the game is failing or needs work on, it's in his own best interest to play. But, there is a difference between the two. As for this community, it is toxic and volatile, with hardly any decent constructive feedback. Unfortunately, when there is, bungie never reply, or you read comments like 'git gud' or 'your stats suck so you blatantly know nothing' it's a nasty loop which can make this a horrible place to be.

I guess I believe knowing the game is part of the job. Yes, this community is toxic and I in know way envy his difficult, if not impossible job. Could somebody else do it better? Couldn't do worse

I won't disagree with you on that =) I think someone else may do a better job, especially with communication and honesty. People, I believe would be happier if he just turned around and said he had no new information, rather than trying to build hype for something no one knows anything about.
