I can see the joke here, and I respect that. But my personal opinion is that Deej's response was poorly timed and in bad taste.
If he gave some information in his update this would be entirely different
Right, well that's not up to deej now is it?
I feel he should let his boss know that the people want something, anything, and that "time in next week for more" isn't cutting it anymore, we need something. I'm not asking to see everything, just a single piece of information, even a date on when to expect some information even

Yes, I'm sure he hasn't told the development team that people want more content. I'm sure he hasn't done his job, and that's why he still has it. People just need to stop scapegoating.

It's not an issue of him not doing his job, it's the people above him that aren't giving him the information that he needs to keep the forums satisfied. Instead they just keep making him try to stall long enough for us to get over it, and them tell us when they want. I'm saying there's been enough stalling, the people in charge who are keeping all the information on lock down need to give Deej something, anything to tell us that can actually satisfy the fans long enough for them to get it polished. At the very least, let us know a general timeline "next update in the third quarter" or "stay tuned for spring/summer update" that would be something that would at least give us a small indication. There's no need to divulge every detail, they have every right to keep things to themselves so that we the fans can experience them like new, but give us something, a date would be enough for me
