Time to dole out some hot, steaming bowls of I-told-you-so...

Well thanks Dora for giving us some solid numbers

Edited by cuzzybubba1: 3/10/2016 4:30:50 AMAll I know is I have the same fascination and unrelenting eagerness to get home and play Division like I did when Destiny launched. Also, I don't have a zillion complaints like I did with Destiny. Currently, I have two... can't crouch and spawns aren't great being dropped into the middle of a fight shoulder to shoulder with enemies.
-
Why is everyone bringing up the Division? If you read the tags this is clearly a nice thread about a failed Dora the Explorer game. Why you do dis Division dudes?

Come down and beware of the black fist The gorillas straight mutherf!!!ng killers is the mist Take a shot Buck Buck but you can't forge Never thought you'd see South Central ni!!!z in the forest

Edited by CarneAsadaMilk: 3/10/2016 2:09:46 PMGuess which game didn't have a hype train away every E3 for the preceding years. Hopefully they release a soundtrack, though, can't get enough of that map song.
Also shouts out to the backpack
Dora the Explorer xD

You should take into account the different ace rating. It's like movie stats. 18's never make the same as 12A's.

Edited by An Engram Full Of Bees: 3/10/2016 1:57:59 PMEdit: F*ck it. Dora the Explorer for the win.
-
Who really cares though? Haha. Destiny is 2 years old. It should definitely be more dead then a game that just came out. Such a dumb argument at this point! This brand new game is gonna kill that game that came out in 2014!!!! Yeah, no shit Sherlock.
-
I just wonder if the numbers bungie reported as launch is correct. Last time I heard they had 25 million active players.
-
I don't know why people are taking this so personally. Like really nîgga, this is the division not Metal Gear Solid. Ironically, you wouldn't even see this kind of backlash in the division's own forums. Must be a destiny thing.
-
But did destiny live up to its hype?

Edited by An Engram Full Of Bees: 3/10/2016 5:11:31 AMThere you go people. http://www.polygon.com/2016/3/9/11188792/the-division-ubisoft-sales-records-day-one Edit: Ubisoft has yet to provide any specific sales numbers, and I doubt they will. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the game just became their top priority after breaking their previous sales record.

Mario maker? Iono

Edited by Arrgh2112: 3/10/2016 3:17:11 AMThis is from the EW article... http://www.ew.com/article/2014/09/17/destiny-first-week-sales. If you are going to use the $300 million figure that TD is rumored to have, then you might want to look at the part where it says that destiny sold $325 million over a five day period. Personally, I really hope that the player participation in destiny drops far enough to get the people that are allegedly running bungle's attention. Something is going to have to knock them out of their arrogant stupidity. Hitting them in their hours played is the only thing that will get their attention. "Over $500 million worth of copies of Destiny were shipped to stores in anticipation of the game’s release last week. And with today’s newly announced sales figures, it looks like Bungie’s latest franchise is off to an impressive start. Activision revealed today that Destiny sold-through more than $325 million worldwide in its first five days on sale. The phrase “sold-through” denotes the amount of games actually purchased by consumers rather than simply shipped to stores."

I'll bite.... Post day 1 sale numbers for both destiny and division with links pls I'll wait.
-
Can't tell if trolling or... I mean there's a Dora the explorer tag...so..
-
What an ignorant post. Just because destiny had a bigger hype machine doesn't mean division isn't going to be successful. Remember when people thought the Wii was going to be a joke and it ended up being sold out for months ? You can't judge success on first day of sales. I don't own division so I'm not defending it. I'm saying don't make short sighted statements.
-
I've played division for about 10 hours now, and I'm level 12 (out of 30). Haven't even explored half of the city yet. Gameplay is fun, I think I will play quite a bit. I like how destiny guns have a unique feel to each one though, the division is just "m4" or "scar h" which is kinda wack
-
Bungie lied about what they were offering. Simple bait and switch
-
I got The Division, and I'm enjoying it so far, but I can't ever see many people getting the amount of hours out of it that they get out of Destiny.
-
More people playing day one means more people disappointed after seeing what the game really is.
-
Wanna know the other thing that Destiny beats The Division at? Amount of False Advertising Lack of support from the devs

25 or riot
