It's trap died activates after it's impact.
The trap isn't what bothers me with this, it's the direct impact that actually does damage but didn't cancel the super.
Iike I said. The trap activates afterwards, that's an intended effect.
Tethering (slowing, increasing damage, super cancelation etc) is what the trap does. Shadowshot does damage (OHK on non supered guardians) and cancels supers. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, hence the post that it is broken. Unless you've got documentation from Bungie that explains it otherwise, the above is how I and many others expect it to work in crucible. It is a two part super, but the impact should not be limited to kinetic energy, especially since it is entirely elemental.
