So last night a few of my friends and i attempted the golgoroth challenge on kingsfall raid.
We got the mechanic down very quickly and were able to have all fireteam members take his gaze at every damage cycle. Unfortunately one of our fireteam members died which was no reflection on his ability or ours.....just one of those things. The rest of the fireteam members continued to take gaze and lay waste to the golgoroth challenge.
We defeated golgoroth despite the loss of a fireteam member and recieved no challenge mode loot. It doesn't specify on the challenge that it has to be a clean run with no fatalities so why couldn't bungie honour those of us who took part successfully with some raid gear? Honestly i am tired of being cheated out of things like this through no fault of my own. Poor iron banner drops, the disappointment of crimson days, we are trying to improve our characters with 320+ gear. It's bad enough the servers at the moment, getting booted mid game, being denied 320 drops from other game variants, but to take the time out of peoples busy working lives to be organise a raid and to be simply let down despite success is unacceptable and unfortunately has become bungies modus operandi of late.

Therefore if your teammate died and he/she didn't get the gaze you fail the challenge
